The Indiana Elite teams (Adidas sponsored), will be playing the talented Indy Heat Gym Rats teams (Nike sponsored) in a big series of games tomorrow (Saturday, Aug. 8 ) called the Battle of the Brands in Noblesville, Indiana. This is as big of an event as there is on the summer league circuit. The schedule is posted below.

Of most interest to Bradley fans will be the games involving the Indiana Elite 2021 team, which includes Bradley commit Connor Hickman, along with a number of other D1-caliber players. That team plays at 3:15 PM Eastern (2:15 PM Central) and again at 6:00 PM Eastern (5:00 PM Central).
The 6:00 PM Eastern (5:00 PM Central) game is the feature game of the day. It is a matchup between the top teams for each program- Indiana Elite 2021 (featuring Connor Hickman) vs. Indy Heat 2021 Black team, which features Illinois commit Luke Goode.

The other games are matchups of the secondary teams and teams from other age groups, all of which also feature D1 caliber recruits, including some that Bradley is following.

The games will be streamed free on the Indy Heat YouTube channel-

The first Indiana Elite 2021 game just started. They have jumped out to an early lead on the Indy Heat Red team-

Connor Hickman is #11 in white. He just entered the game for Indiana Elite. They play again at 5:00 pm against Indy Heat Black, the top Indy Heat 2021 team.

Hickman can dunk! Doesn't look like Connor's team is being challenged much in this game. He appears to have good confidence and awareness.

Connor Hickman's Indiana Elite 2021 team dominated the Indy Heat Red team and won 95-44 with the game ending early because of a "mercy rule".
Connor played mostly point guard and had a couple steals, one with a breakaway dunk, and he looked very good handling the ball, passing, and driving to the basket. I think he had 8 points, maybe 10. I don't recall him making an outside shot, but his team is so loaded with talented big kids that I only recall him taking one perimeter shot.
Perhaps the best player on the team is Trey Kaufman. He had 30 points and was unstoppable inside. He is a 4-star recruit (probably should be 5-stars), and has offers from North Carolina, Indiana, Purdue, Louisville, Virginia, and others.

Connor's team plays again at 5:00 pm against the top Indy Heat team.

For some reason when I clicked on the link gave me the 2022 class with Loving-Watts. I wondered what happened. Watts did handle the ball a lot. It seemed like a lot of one-on-one basketball.

The link leads to a Live Stream. The game between the 2021 teams ended at about 3:30 pm. The 2022 teams are playing now, so if you click on the link now, the 2022 teams' game is the one you will see.
By the way, the 2022 Indy Heat team is very good. They are clobbering a pretty good 2022 Indiana Elite team (Heat lead Elite 43-23 at halftime). Bradley is involved with players from both teams.

I think all the games with the Indy Heat today will eventually be archived and posted on the Indy Heat YouTube channel. It isn't posted yet, but probably will be at some later time. Here is the link to their archived games-

Note that the only archived video labelled as from today is incorrect. It leads to a game at a different venue that involved a couple different teams.

I started watching the game a little after 2:00 PM CDT. I won't tell you how it ends if you are watching a game with #2 Loving-Watts in it. I clicked on the link again and am watching a different game with Loving-Watts in it. The score is as lot different in this one. The first game I saw was a down-to-the-wire game.

Indiana Elite wins 100-74. Connor Hickman again did not take many shots, but played a steady game with a number of assists.
I think the Indiana Elite teams won every game except one against Indy Heat (Indy heat 2022 team won easily against Elite). Indiana Elite appears to be the superior program overall.

I think the Indiana Elite teams won every game against Indy Heat. They are clearly a superior program.

Here are the final stats from the game last night which Indiana Elite won 100-74. Connor Hickman had 6 points on a two point shot, a free throw, and a 3-point shot, all in the 2nd half.
Their big guys- Indiana commit 6'8" Logan Duncomb (29 points) and 6'7" Trey Kaufman (26 points) were the leading scorers for Indiana Elite.

You're right about those big kids for the Elite team, Coach. They looked unstoppable and know how to put the ball in the hoop, and I was really impressed by them.
