I don't care if it was UNC playing at Carver, I expect us to hold a double-digit lead with less than 10 to play at home.

Thank you...but you know...its really OK.....these games won't hurt us..... this is a good team.....they will be in the NCAA...these losses are good losses...its OK.....don't worry.

An ability to win games like this could propel or push this team to where SOME of us want to be....but instead it keeps us at that nice comfortable and predictable mediocre level.

Relax! Our defense was not good, but give WCU a lot of the credit too. This team apparently may be in the same league as the BYU's of the world, at least for this year. We do need another solid OOC win, but at least the loss is not as disasterous as could have been.

And SOME thought that IF we would have had Taylor Brown we could have beat BYU. Well....we not only had him we were at HOME.

No excuses.....and I won't give the other team credit when you basically controlled the entire game. We gave it away and thats unacceptable at home IMO.

IF we want to take that next step...these are the games that need to be won. Period.

The lead was 10 points with 9:20 left in the game. With 8 something left it was 4 points. They made two quick 3's one on a broke up play where they threw in a long one. The number one thing I was disappointed in was our terrible free throw shooting. That is really what cost us this game.

If I remember right we had a 6 point lead on michigan state with 6 minutes left in the game two years ago & lost. I think we need to give some credit to W.C.U., I think Louisville might.

I give NO credit to the opposing team when its a road game for them. This Loss is all on BU...the HOME team. We gave it away.

You know, I give up! I can't convince people on here on what I'm trying to say.

Look, I'm not satisfied that we lost that game either. And I never said I'm pleased it was a good loss! All I'm saying is this does NOT kill our chances at an at-large bid or a successful season (meaning NCAA Tournament).

My problem here is that I'm tired of hearing people think we are less of a program when we lose to a team like this, without (and here's the key) looking at the entire body of work! Let's say we win the last three OOC games (that includes the Bracketbuster) and win the Valley and the at-large bid. Are people going to keep ripping the team because we lost a home game to WCU back in December?

My point here has always been that it is silly to base a season on one loss. Granted I will agree that maybe we should have won at least one more game against a team like BYU or Oklahoma St. to solidify our resume. And if we get into a pattern of more bad losses (ie: Drake, Loyola, etc.), then yes, I agree with you that we would be underachieving and we all have every right to be upset. But I refuse to be so upset based on one loss. Sorry if that's not what some of you want to hear, but that's the way I feel!

What am I giving them credit for? For us being in the double-bonus with 10 to play in the 1st half and not taking advantage of it? For us playing lackluster defense in not closing out on 3's and not finishing off possessions with rebounds? I'll give them credit for not quitting when down double-figures, but that's about it.

You are tired of HEARING as much as many of us are tired of LIVING it. I too look at the "entire body of work" and once again, over the last 7-8 years, we fail to win these type of games at home that will push us to the next level.

Well I'm just talking about this season only. In previous seasons we have had injuries to deal with (not using that as an excuse but we did have some key players out), teams inexperienced playing together and relatively young teams. This season I am expecting more, and next year for sure I'm expecting an NCAA Tournament birth.

If we are not progressing by the end of this season and especially by the end of next season, then of course we need to reevaluate the direction of this program. But this season is the one I'm focused on, not the previous seven.
