Someone correct me if this is wrong but if we win out and I know that is a huge IF because at Creighton is going to be very hard BUT if we win out and ISU loses 2 or 3 we could finish as high as second!! Had we lost tonigh we would have be in 7th with the tiebreakers!! PONDER THAT!!!!

Oh, pardon me but I thought you were going to say that if we win out we would be back in the at-large conversation again! :D

You know, now that I think of it, would 21-13 and a Valley loss in the finals get us in? Who knows! :D

Yes...despite going 2-5 with DRuff out, and starting the Valley season 1-5, and losing down at ISU...there is yet a chance we could finish tied with ISU in the standing, and get the #2 seed by virtue of the tiebreaker or remotely possible we could actually still finish ahead of ISU if we win out and they lose all three tat Evansville, at SIU, and vs. Creighton.

BUT------it is still mathematically possible to fall to the 7th spot and play in on Thursday, but we'd have to lose our final two games, and UNI would have win all of their final three including at SIU.

Lets just win the rest of our games, get Andrew healthy and go down to St.Louis and win the tournament.

For the record, we are not in the at-large conversation. It's close, but 13 losses and 7 alone in the MVC is too much absorbed.

I was being a bit hopeful, but had the Valley been ranked 5th or 6th, 7 loses would most likely at least get us in the discussion. And of course, had our conference had those three little letters BCS attached to it, there is no discussion. We would be in at this moment.

It is mathematically impossible to fall to 7th Tornado, even if UNI won all 3 remaining games, because one of them is against In st. If they win all 3, In st would have 9 losses and we now have tiebreaker over them based on the 20 road points we picked up tonight.

I think we're still a bit out of the at-large category. Not having AW for the rest of the games is going to hurt too. We still have very large problems with consistency.

I see the semi-finals as Drake vs. Bradley and ISU vs. SIU. SIU and Drake for the finals and dare I say it....SIU winning, Drake and ISU getting at large bids and Drake in the Sweet 16.

As with everything in the NCAA's, this would have to depend on matchups, but I dont see Drake in the Sweet 16 at all. If Drake runs into a team in the NCAA with any kind of inside game, I think they are very vulnerable.

Chitown is correct. We've locked up a Friday game. We can't finish below 5th because we win all tiebreakers, and UNI/INSU play each other and are a game back at best with 2 to play.

I see that, I had only looked at the records of UNI and BU.
So....I can cancel my reservations for Thursday night!!!

Hey T, did you buy all-session tickets? I love watching all the games, but understand what you are saying. Heck a couple of years ago, we went down for the afternoon play-in games on Friday, heard there was a SLU game that night, bought tickets for that game as well!!

Just messing around with final games left to play and I come up with these standings:

16-2 Drake
12-6 ISU
11-7 SIU
10-8 Bradley
10-8 Creighton
9-9 Indy st
9-9 UNI
6-12 Mo St
4-14 Wich St
3-15 E'Ville

Yup. We could be playing for 3rd in Omaha. Kinda stinks that that game didn't get put on TV, but I understand why they chose SIU-ISU, which could be for 2nd. It's too bad both games couldn't be televised somehow.
