Wessler: Nothing good about Bradleys loss...

Oh no DRU. That's good man. Your post. Good stuff. ;) KW - even better.

Bottom line - Bradley hoops is horrible.

In case you wanted to know how to serve my Crow, I prefer it grilled.

Can't really argue with KW here. I've stated on here I am no fan of KW, and am still not, still think he just doesn't like JL, but I honestly think this is the worst loss I've endured in my short tenure as a BU fan.

It's a good thing you missed it Andy, some of those turnovers were absolutely mind boggling. Sammy literally handed the ball to a defender 3 feet in front of him a couple times. Then I also witnessed the worst turnover i've ever seen in my 25 years of watching basketball. Warren and I think it was Egolf, went up for a rebound with no EIU player within 20 feet. Egolf and Warren both refused to let the ball go for 2 seconds and they were called for traveling. :0

I was with friends and checked my phone to see what the score was and honestly thought there was a mistake. I couldn't believe it. I look at our players and see talent, I just can't figure out why it can't come together. It's really frustrating.

I don't see the talent.

Sammy is hurt....
Andrew only plays one side of the ball, and really struggles against athletic defenders
dodie is slightly above average.
Everyone else is a role player.

The only way for this team to win is to be outstanding defensively....

I do not agree here.

1st, we are averaging on 62 ppg/against. I don't think we can do much better than that defensively.

2nd, I do see talent. SM has it. AW has it. WE could, if he were not being played out of position, with his back to the basket. DSE, DD, and WL, all have it as well.

BU needs to do a better job of putting these players in a position to succeed.

I thought the worst non-SM turnover was that under-the-basket pass JE tried to make that hit under the backboard.

Dogs, I agree with you that the whole Valley stinks except for maybe a few teams. KW was only reporting what he saw for our Braves, hence no need to trash the rest of the Valley even if they deserve it. We are NOT a very good TEAM and bottom line it's one mans responsibility PERIOD. We are very limited with talent and again one mans responsibility. I agree with KWs article and personally don't believe he dislikes JL just dislikes what he is seeing on the floor. Can you blame him. IF it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck,it must be a duck and thats what he wrote. I would rather he report the truth then try to sugarcoat this mess and try to get us to believe all is well in fanatsy land.

Sammy being hurt means he doesn't have talent????
Dodie was highly recruited, had major programs on him.
If you can't see the talent in WL, DSE, and JP, I don't know what you're watching.
Throw TB in there and we have plenty of talent.

AMC I have to agree with SRW on this one. I'm not saying we don't have any talent just not enough to compete for a Valley title year in and year out. In fact we haven't had enough the last nine years. So I'm not sure what your watching or if you know how to evaluate talent .I'm in SRWs corner on this one . Mo brought in alot better players then we've had the last nine years and look what that got him i.e.Parker ,Granger, Tucker,Grigsby etc. Two current NBA'ers and an all star.No question who is the better recruiter and we won't even go into coaching.

I couldn't care less about NBA, it's a totally different game and has absolutely nothing to do with success in the MVC. I want a team full of SM's, TW's, ZA's, Boogies, and JC's over a team full of guys like Danny Granger who helped BU do absolutely nothing. There is no question who is a better recruiter. Top to bottom it's JL hands-down. I agree with the coaching not being as good in most respects, but to try to act like the guys we have the last decade aren't as good as the 90's is hilarious, especially when you bring Granger into the conversation.

Just remember this amc, if a college player plays in the NBA, it won't hurt them so much if their team gets bounced in the playoffs or if the team goes to the lottery. If they do okay, they will have more chances to try again. Either with the same team, or be traded to another and be a bench warmer.

But for the college player that has no chance for the NBA (or even a pro league overseas), it hurts a hell of a lot more because they only have four years (sans redshirt) to really win it all.

I like watching the NBA, I mean I wouldn't watch it if BU or any other Valley team is on.

We will certainly have to agree to disagree 100%. I couldn't care less about the NBA either but you totally missed the point. The talent we brought in under MO was much better then we have brought in the last 9 years. I wasn't happy with Granger either but we can't just make him go away. He was here and is a much better player then we've had here since HH.

Well said. I very much agree with your post!
