What a year. . .

After being plauged with injuries & other suspensions, I'd say we showed everyone we are a force to be reckoned with! Yes, it would've been a lot better tonight if we would have taken that trophy, but come on guys, we were ONE of the LAST six teams playing (IN APRIL) in the college basketball world. They may not have played their best tonight (or got the calls they wanted), but I'm sure they gave it their all, and NO ONE, and I mean NO ONE, wanted it more than those guys in the RED jerseys tonight! Way to go guys for giving it your all and to a great season despite a ton of bad luck throughout!

Go Braves!

And I'm VERY excited to see what next year will bring!

You are absolutely right on all points.

I'm really interested in seeing how Andrew Warren does next year. He could be one of the top 3 players in the valley or I could see him drop off slightly without DRuff and JC getting the attention of defenders.

Looking forward to signing a recruit (or two?) and having an even better year next year.

Thanks seniors

I am sure you are right. Andrew will be the team leader and probably team captain next year. I will go on record predicting AW will lead the Valley in scoring with our uptempo offense.

I agree and believe AW and SM will fill the voids left by JC and Ruff quite nicely! Hopefully some of the new guards will step in and provide quality minutes as well. Would love to see a bigger lineup with more post play though.

Bigger question......where will the red/white game be played?

I think...

No Red/White this year.

Cookout...

Homecoming...

At a Soccer Game.

Meet and greet.

Who cares about a dumb ole scrimmage, anyway. We (as fans) want interaction with the players.

Not a better time. Bradley needs to bring in a "big gun" and go all out with promotions. Peoria is becoming a soccer town, if not already.

The huge difference between this season and next season is that we now have a full complement of players who have played together for at least a year and more with the CBI. Unlike this year when we had a ton of new JUCO's thrown together for the first time with no Division I experience, our new players next year consist of a potential stud and a Division I transfer, both who have the potential to make instant impacts on the team. Therefore, I think Bradley has a better chance to finish toward the top of the Valley next year than they did this year, despite some who predicted a strong finish this year. I think JC and DR will be missed, but like you said shaunguth, AW and SM should do very well next year. I think people will be pleasantly surprised by what we accomplish next year!

For some strange reason, I think there will be a red/white scrimmage
this year...maybe at a HS facility near you...

or

meet and greet at the ITOO Hall

love Mobs idea of a cookout..

wondering out loud if part of the new facilities will be finished in time to hold a red/white scrimmage?

I really enjoyed the soccer tailgate party by the Braves club and mens basketball team....all food and drinks were free and all the players and staff were there...very fun and it was when Chris Roberts was here on his recruiting visit...he was so impressed that he gave a verbal that week end....and a lot of those pics are still on the board(under photos and video clips)....very fun night and a soccer game to boot! :D

PS....you still need a red/white to get the fas going! heck I still want a midnight madness....put all the fans in the lower bowl @ the CA for it!

Come to think of it, I remember a time during the Versace era (Anderson/Thirdkill teams) in which Bradley played some red/white scrimmages at different area high schools.

--not sure if college teams can do this anymore?--

Peoria is becoming a soccer town, if not already.

Hey now! BU Soccer deserves some mad props!
I never followed soccer at all until my son took it up about 6 years ago. I love it now! When I was a kid, soccer was not the cool thing to do. In retrospect, I really missed on a great sport growing up!

Considering the volleyball and women's b-ball seasons will be played at ICC and area high schools next season, I would be shocked if enough was done in time for the R/W. The main gym at the new student rec center seats 500 and would not be an option.

The Armory??

seriously, the only real possibilities would be the Civic Center, ICC gym, or the gym of Richwoods, Pekin, Manual, Central, or remotely---IVC. Since some of the previous Red/White and preseason games have drawn >3000, where else could they be held?
Places like the RiverPlex and Eastside have little seating.

The BU scrimmage that I saw and was alluding to in my previous post was in fact at IVC. Aside from the civic center, Richwoods and ICC seem to be the most likely alternatives.imo
