where is the basement?

BU Won but the team we played was not very good, too many turnovers, our offense is way out of sync, the team that did the best out on the floor was McCain,Dunson,Roberts,Wilson and Thompson, Brown did not get enough minutes and Norris needs to get more shots; if we play like this we will be playing for sure on thurs. night in St.Louis ; I just don"t see how a team can be going this far backwards in such a short period of time.

and don't stop looking through those rose-colored glasses...maybe you guys can get me a pair for Christmas

I just checked the score with and without my rose colored glasses. It still says BU won!:D

Sorry I can't be as miserable as some of you. I'll at least save it for when we lose a game. I am enjoying the win tonight.

Hehe. I'm not excited about the win, per se, but a win is a win.

"I am enjoying the win tonight." I hope the BU team and coaching staff do not feel this way. If they do, it speaks volumes of where this program is. Accepting mediocrity, will lead to more mediocrity.

I hope this team gets better at fundamentals, regardless of wins and losses. I am for forgetting the end result and concentrating on just improving at the fundamentals of the game. I accept that losing 2 players plus another for a while hurts, but I sure would be happy to see improvements in the players who are getting all of the minutes.

I agree with you. Fans have the luxury of liking a win, the team has to strive for perfection after every game.

fish - I agree a win is better than a loss but can you honestly say that the 1st half at UWM and the play tonight didn't make you almost

Everybody has different expectations, I accept that. My expectations are more than what I would call mediocrity.

BU is a few days from starting the conference. Do you feel good about the chances of winning many games?

I honestly hope you are the only person who is enjoying a win tonight in the fashion Bradley played against the opponent they played.

I dont think anyone is miserable, I think most simply see all kinds of areas that this Bradley team lacks specifically defense.. whether that is on the ball, interior, blocking out on rebounds, or shooting the ball whether that is from the free throw line, the 3 pt line or from the floor in general. Actually there are very few areas Bradley is very good in right now, infact there has been a very alarming backwards trend with this team.

How anyone can anyone be satisfied with winning a home game versus a transitional D1 school who was playing on a back to back night after losing the first game to Loyola by 24? I hope beyond hope our players and coaching staff are not even remotely close to any satisfaction or enjoying this win.

So....

Shall we start now calling you Mr. Thursday Night ;-)

Embarrassment comes to mind

Strangely, this game didn't make me feel anywhere near as bad as UWM, though it didn't make me feel good like a win should. Part of that is probably that we won, and another part was even though it got kinda close I never felt like SIUE would beat us.

My expectation is that in most years we're challeneging for an MVC crown and threatening for an at-large bid in the NCAA. Those things don't seem to be the case for this season, so maybe I've just numbed up a bit. We'll see what happens on Sunday... I've given up trying to understand how this team might play, having seen a disgusting loss in person in Milwaukee and also seen us look very good against Florida.

SIUE took a one-point lead at 17:17 in the 1st after a 3-pointer by McCleay. That guy could play.

Don't make me want to put an "r" in there on McCleary... I don't want to be responsible for what you say. :-P

Yea - that dude can play.

I don't know why - but I coulda sworn I had seen him play at Carver before but I could be wrong.

Anyway - he kinda looked like and reminded me of Will Smith's brother from the "Fresh Prince of Bel Aire".

You did....

Only his name was Mack and before that Pigram and before that Kreps and before that Witter, Holsinger, Josten, Maynor....

You get the point...

Why was he averaging under 8 points per game before last night?
I'll bet he goes back to averaging single figures the rest of the year. I don't know the reason, but last night continues the trend of one opposing player always having a career night when they play Bradley.
