Who Holds the All Time BU Record for 3-pointers as a Freshman?

With all the great players who played a lot as freshmen, and many who even started as freshmen, Sam Maniscalco still beat them all.
Sam had 55 3-pointers his freshman season, easily beating Anthony Parker's 47.
Hersey, Jimmy, and those older guys didn't have the 3-pt shot when they were freshmen. Anyway, JL wasn't even at BU as a freshman.

Sam also played 38 games. How many did AP play? JC had 46 in 28 games. I think it's safe to say if JC plays in 10 more games he easily beats 55. Same with AP.

But they didn't BradleyBrave..... and that's all that matters. Obviously SM had something his freshman year that the others didn't that put him in that position. Besides, these records are really kind of meaningless since there are so many other factors that can lead to this type of record (bad team, injuries, etc...)

They didn't play 38 games because BU didn't play in an exempt tournament, and there wasn't a CBI.

What do you mean Sam had something that the others didn't have? Talent-wise, SM is not as talented as AP or JC. Perhaps Sam had a better team around him than JC did his freshman year, but BU as a team only played 28 games when JC was a freshman. In AP's case, I believe BU only played 31 games his freshman year. He started nearly ever game that year, but as we know he wasn't playing in a system conducive to shooting a lot of 3's. But come on, how can you not say that the primary reason SM had more 3's than JC as a freshman was because of 10 extra games he played?

Was a simple question, who holds the record for 3 pointers by a freshman. The answer is Sam M. No ifs, ands, buts or maybes.
