Bradley has 1 more scholarship available, and now that Deshawn Delaney is no longer an option, who becomes the next target?

It is likely the final scholarship will go to someone on this updated list of 375+ Division I transfers-

There are some pretty good players available who could help Bradley.
Other than Brian Greene, the only other name to emerge so far, who would fans like to see us recruit?

Alex Foster?

Alex Foster?

whatever happened with BU and Alex Foster, the 6'8 Minnesota decommit?

The last thing that I read was that Texas Tech was the favorite now, but that Rhode Island was expecting to get a visit.

Is BU involved/trying to get involved?

Someone who can score! Lasan Kromah from GW has some good stats and he can play immediately! Or, a PF/C who can sit a year and develop. Ackerman (PSU), Bolden (GTown), Diaz (KSt) are a few from power conferences. BU is attractive because we can almost guarantee playing time and probably a starting position.

Here is an interesting transfer rumor- Evan Gordon, the younger brother of Eric Gordon, is a 4th year junior at Arizona State. he averaged 10.1 ppg, and is on track to graduate this spring. He is interested in transferring, but the rumor is that he may transfer to Inidana, where his brother was an All American, to play his final year.

isn't there an even younger bro in the 2014 or 2015 class?

I have to believe now that the signing period is over for 2013 - that our staff is concentrating on getting in, getting to know, and letting them know we are targeting them - to the next couple classes...

Both us & ISU went big time for late spring left-overs this year but the best way to build our program might be to get in on the ground level, follow and vigorously recruit the good high schoolers for 3-4 years then build a recruiting program that can get them interested in playing for Bradley and coming here. We are not Wichita and we will not be steadily successful going mainly after the short term fixes and 2-year players.

As a comparison -
in the first 3 seasons/recruiting classes here's what each of our last 3 coaches landed. - Geno is rebuilding in a strikingly different manner than JL & Mo did

GF-
only 4 traditional HS kids (DS, NW, KB, DH - only one of whom, KB, has played any significant role),
4 prep HS kids (none have helped an iota - 5 if Tucker is counted but Jalen & Shayok are already gone & Zecevic & Swopshire have yet to play),
3 jucos (TP is a key commit, but the other two wait in the wings),
3 D-I transfers (none have played yet) - time will tell

JL-
10 traditional HS kids (two left but several - Tauai, Crouch, POB.. - played huge roles),
5 jucos - 3 of whom, Cellus, Boogie, & TB, played HUGE ROLES,
no prep HS kids,
and no transfers.

Molinari- 11 traditional HS kids - most of whom - Anthony Parker, Deon Jackson, Billy Wright, Funches, Kleine, Zobrist, Burrell - stayed and were key players in the rebuild),
only 1 juco - Pollard - also key
- no preppies, no transfers...

BTW - Versace also did it with mostly traditional high school kids in his first three recruiting classes (Mitchell Anderson, Reese, Mathews, Voise)
and only a couple jucos (Mines, Thirdkill, Scott..)

anyone know if we are recruiting this kid...

Michael Harris - was just named the Division II Juco National Player of the Year (same award Cleanthony Early won last year at the D-III level)..

Harris averaged 24 ppg, 8 rpg, 4 assists, and 3.3 STEALS!He had a 50-point game this season along with hitting almost 40% from 3-pt and 85% from the FT line...also had an 18-rebiound game and an 11-assist game for his 32-5 team...
he's a great all-around player and he is still open and waiting for the offer that fits..

He is at South Suburban College (South Holland, IL) and some of our coaches (Willie Scott, too!!) have extremely strong ties there ..

In fact I just happen to have a photo of South Suburban College head coach John Pigatti having lunch a few weeks back in my old stomping grounds.....

Evan Gordon commits to Indiana.

Gordon is the replacement for Remy Abell..

Evan Gordon is 6-1, & averaged 12.5 pts/40 minutes played on 39% shooting overall & 34.7% shooting from 3-pt - and was definitely NOT known for his defense

Remy Abell is 6-4, and averaged 12.8 pts/40 minutes played on 47% shooting overall & 49% shooting from 3-pt - but was definitely known as a big, and talented defender at the CG position

Clearly Crean is stepping down in a year where they will struggle to stay at .500 due to the huge loss of their starting talent.

News on another available transfer, who once visited and considered Bradley-
Jared Drew is a 6'5" guard/forward from Indianapolis (Cathedral HS) who was a 2012 recruit who visited Bradley but ended up committing to Rick Majerus and St. Louis University. But he was just told by new St. Louis coach Jim Crews that his scholarship would not be renewed, and he is looking to transfer.

Here is a thread about Bradley recruiting Drew and his visit to Bradley.

Drew was one of the first recruits to visit the new facilities and tweeted that "It's better than IU's new facility"

Bradley does not have an open scholarship, but apparently our recruiting is still "fluid".
Schools that have reportedly already inquired about Jared Drew include-
Ball State, IPFW, IUPUI, UC-Davis, Southern Illinois-Edwardsville, New Orleans and Florida Atlantic.

Drew never played even a single minute this year for SLU - so he still has four years of eligibility - but..if he chooses D-I then he'll have to spend one of those years sitting out.
