Wichita State gets commit from juco point guard

During his two years...

FG% - 53.6%
3-PT% - 45.3%
FT% - 80.7%
Points - 19.5/gm

Sounds like a great replacement for Hannah. A 6-footer that can SHOOT!

He was also named a 1st team NJCAA All-American yesterday.

I watched a bit of one of his NJCAA tournament games and he reminds me of a left-handed Demetric Williams (our freshman backup PG this past season). Ragland is certainly quicker than Hannah but he needs to step it up a notch or two on defense.

Seems like a player. If his transition to D1 is smooth, the Shockers are going to be TOUGH.
If transition is not smooth they are STILL going to be TOUGH. They have it all, inside game, outside game, depth and a good coach. They are my pre-season favorite now unless someone comes up with a BIG recruiting class this month.

WOW, not sure how his D is but these stats are great. They will be the team to beat next year. Inside/Outside game, Baby:!::(

As usual, the grass is always greener....:D

No team in the MVC loses more of their scoring and rebounding than ISU, and they replace those players with unproven kids. And haven't we learned that juco stats don't necessarily predict what a kid will do at D1? Will Franklin was a 7 ppg scorer in juco and turned out to be one of Bradley's top scorers. Ty Cole-Scott had similar impressive numbers in juco.
Maybe "they will be the team to beat", but I'd be willing to bet they are not picked in the top 3 in the preseason voting next fall. And that Bradley will be picked ahead of ISU.

is he being recruited as a (sub-6ft) scoring guard or is he a replacement for Hannah?
Why no mention of how the guy does with assists?

The thread is about Wichita State. You even started it. I would bet that they will be a top three choice by the voters next fall.

I think you posted in the wrong thread. I don't see anything about ISU in this thread.

Your kidding I hope:? I'll take that bet:!:
Also I did not mean to imply that he will be their starting point guard or the reason I think they will be the team to beat:roll: I agree with you about not knowing how a kid will do in D1. This kid seems to have a game and carries a very impressive resume compared to the normal JUCO players, especially over the ones you have mentioned. I don't think I have to explain what I meant by a Inside/Outside game they will have. We seen it in St. Louis and yes Hannah will be missed but I think they have a coach capable of finding a replacement.:)
HOW MUCH:lol: OH YES, not sure about the grass but you green will look mighty fine on this side:lol::lol:

Yes, my mistake...must be something about April Fool's Day.:D
Sorry OOB, I thought I was still in the thread about ISU maybe getting Cousins, the point guard. I agree that WSU will be the team to beat next year.

OK:lol: For a moment, with all those instant bets coming in agaist you, I thought we were going to have to get someone to hold the money:wink: And I can tell you, no one was going to go along with it being t
