Wichita State's head coach Gregg Marshall being investigated for abusive conduct

It's now been over a month since the story about Gregg Marshall's abusive actions broke, and still not a word from Wichita State about how they intend to deal with the scandal. They obviously are hoping this all just blows over and goes away. There is no possible reason their investigation should take this long. There were multiple former players of Marshall's from Wichita State and from his previous school, Wofford, who went public with their claims, and even more who were willing to speak to investigators but wanted to remain anonymous. What could they possibly be waiting for?
Meanwhile, Gregg Marshall was never suspended, and remains in his position as head coach, drawing his $3.5 million/yr salary, and coaching players.

Some think it's because the big money donors at WSU are backing Marshall, and Wichita State won't do the right thing and fire Marshall because they are afraid of offending them-

Many of the biggest donors signed their names to the ad supporting Marshall that was posted in the newspaper-

Wichita TV station KSN obtained exit interviews from Wichita State athletes from the past several years. WSU refused to release some years, citing privacy issues, but KSN did obtain one from a basketball player from 2017-18, long before these recent allegations became public-

It is quite interesting. He answers all the questions about his overall experience and about the assistant coaches with the highest positives.
But when it comes to the questions about Head Coach Gregg Marshall, he rates him POOR or VERY POOR in many areas like -
Personal interest in you outside athletics- POOR
Consideration of injuries- POOR
Equal application of discipline to all team members- POOR
Sensitive to the demands of your time- POOR
Demonstrated concern for your well being- POOR
Used positive methods to motivate you- POOR
Assessed your athletic ability fairly- POOR
Thinks winning is not everything- VERY POOR
Positive example of ethical behavior- VERY POOR

And then there were these questions-
Were you subject to inappropriate verbal communication- YES
Would you encourage other student-athletes to attend this institution- NO

I would hope the investigators were able to obtain all the other exit interviews from former players.
I have to believe it is quite rare that a player would be willing to burn bridges like the above athlete did.
