It would be nice to get Larry the Cable Guy, but he is the most popular comedian on the tour circuit, and makes millions doing appearances. He is from Nebraska, and is a huge U of Nebraska fan, so that was the only reason he "stooped" to doing a halftime show there at Nebraska.

For the record, I didn't mind the Zooperstars, since they don't play loud hip-hop music and they entertain the kids. I have seen them before, and once you see their act, there is simply no reason to watch it again.

I've heard that Peoria is one of several areas where Larry the Cable Guy's movies do exceptionally well...

the zooperstars are pretty lame and the dance team is definitely subpar, but we also have had some pretty good halftime shows recently. especially quick change.

Worst one for me was that guy with the balloon tricks. Maybe wouldn't be so bad except for his last trick where he ate a balloon and swallowed a sword to pop it.

Slightly off-topic, I went to a University of Miami basketball game and one of their half-time shows was to bring in some middle-schoolers (I think) to play a quick ball game. Wasn't innovative like some of the "side-shows" we might see, but it was fun to watch and made the time go by faster.

I can't committ on it as I was standing in line at the men's room waiting to get rid of my first halfs beer and then in line to get my second halfs.
Sorry just the way it is;-)

That sounds like a good halftime show to me.

Cat used to have grade school teams play at halftime of their games. I played in one at the Armory and one at the Fieldhouse. Was probably the smallest kid in town and I can still hear the roar when I made a basket at the fieldhouse. I didn't see the halftime show, but heard it. Was the "thing" that came out on the court during a time out and swallowed the kid part of it? I thought that was crowd pleasing.

The kid-swallowing was during a timeout in the second half. That was pretty funny. Otherwise the zooperstars are sorta ho-hum. The "finale" of the act had them doing some extremely athletic things in those goofy suits, and I did think that was alright.

My 3 year old nephew would have to say that was the greatest halftime act ever. He loves the zooperstars! Do I think they are lame? Yes. Its bad enough to try to get him to pay attention to a whole game. The zooperstars sure gave me and my brother something to bribe him with!!!!

I know I am likely in the minority, but I miss some of the old acts that used to come through each year. Sim cycle, frisbee dogs, tramp dunkers of your choice, etc., along with quick change.

It seems like they have tried to reinvent the wheel and they made a "square" one. I was bored last year big time and the "zooperstars" was certainly a bad start to this year.

But to answer the question, by far the worst and easily the creepiest, was that "rubber man" contortionist guy. All I remember hearing around me was..."ewwww."
