WTVP to televise Bradley games for 2010-2011

10 games on WTVP ( 5 home, 5 road- to be announced)
2 games on ESPN2- at Duke 12/8/10, at WSU 1/29/11
2 games on ESPNU- at Carver vs. Wichita State 1/1/11, at Carver vs. MSU 1/16/11,
4 games scheduled on MVC-TV network-- at Drake 1/7/11, at MSU 2/9/11, at Carver 2/15/11 vs. UNI, and at ISU 2/22/11, plus a possible 5th on the MVC-TV network wild card date- 2/26/11 at Carver vs. Drake; plus all the MVC tournament games except the championship will be on MVC-TV.
and CBS will televise the MVC Championship game 3/6/11

Plus another 6 on CBS in March and April.

That might be enough to garner "national exposure." :D
 
6 CBS games would be awesome, but may 'only' be George Mason awesome...Butler good would be 7 for us.

We played 4 games on CBS in 2006...
 
I love the spirit, but remember that CBS won't have all the games this fall. TBS, TNT, and TruTV will split the 1st round games. Just as long as we get an NCAA tournament game, I think the board will be VERY happy.

I have received an email from Bradley and they ask that I try to inform the fans of the following-
The video streaming this year on the BU website will be done by NeuLion-

NeuLion is an industry leader in video streaming technology. They and Bradley are doing all that they can to insure the highest quality stream possible from all venues. Some of the volleyball and soccer games have already been streamed with the new technology, so perhaps some have seen it already. People who sign up for the basketball games will be pleased.

But note that NeuLion considers any of their video streams appearing on Channelsurfing, or other similar website, to be illegal activity.
Anyone who does this could face legal consequences.

Neulion also charges about 3x more than the competition. I hope the quality is better. Im not sure its worth the money but that is Bradley's call, not mine.

Maybe the extra money is what they use to legally go after the video pirates. :)

I wouldn't say substantially. Don't quote me here but usually NeuLion is about maybe a dollar more for a product than some of the others. Of course, with a large amount of subscribers thats a lot of money.
 
I don't know about costs, but I do know that the people in charge at Bradley have listened to everone who has given them feedback about their video streaming, and are determined to put the best product out for the fans. They believe NeuLion will do that.
BTW, anyone interested in signing up for the season package might consider doing it now so they can watch some of the sports that are already being streamed like volleyball and soccer, as well as the features produced by Dave Snell, and see if they are satisfied with them.
Anyone who won't be going to the games regularly should buy the season package. Games will be streamed live, and will be available on-demand to watch at any time.
Even season-ticket holders might want to consider it, as it will make a number of other games available that otherwise would not be viewable.

Yes, I remember those prices, along with $49.95 or something like that for the men's basketball package.

If they want me to fork over anymore than the $50 I paid for the mens BB last season, then they better give me a free sample. One of the few areas where I have a seriously bitter taste in my mouth regarding BU.
 
Does anyone know if NeuLion is the company that produces Horizon League TV? Those were by far the highest quality streaming broadcasts I have seen to date. If they're of that quality, fans should be very happy.
