too many people going out of their way to find something to be offended by.
BTW with tonight's win over a non-midmajor team, Wofford has MORE wins over non-midmajors than ISU will end up with ALL SEASON LONG - GUARANTEED!!
(because ISU doesn't play even one.)
T for the record, I never went out of my way to get offended That makes No God D--- sense at all First I never was offended by it personally but wrote what I did because I didn't think BU Fans deserve to be talked down to
All my life I have been a person in charge of people. The one thing I have carried away from this is, I learned to respect people, what they stand for, what they believe in, whats important to them and that no matter where they are on the pole, they still deserve to be respected You maybe one of those who all this went right around them or at least you come across like one. (Did not hurt me so why should it hurt someone else)
B4L admitted he made a mistake and has apologized for it Thats good here

Ok, I hate to once again play devils advocate here, but I gotta ask...why did you guys bring ISU into this conversation when none of you had any reason to do so?

While we're talking about the direction this program is going in, ISU's new coach has led them to a 2nd and 3rd place finish in the conference. You can discount their non-con schedule all you want, but their coach has done more with much less (no pun intended) time than our coach has.

They won 24 games in the conference in their first two years under their coach, while our team didn't win game 24 until sometime into the 4th season.

We can discuss the Sweet 16 run and talk about how that gives us a free pass all we want, but we've never been above 4th, had as many losing seasons as winning seasons in conference, and still have yet to win a conference tournament since they moved it to a neutral site.

So after reading amc's post, I will say as well, I hope we're all getting a little nervous for nothing, but how much longer will this take?

I would say that this year or next year should really be it...we lose Chris and Sam this season.

Next year we have Dodie, Sammy, and Andrew as Seniors; McCain, Brown, Egolf, and Thompson as Juniors; Simms-Edwards and Knezevic as Soph.; Prosser and Eastman back as Freshmen; Then whoever else we bring in from recruiting....

If its not next year then when, as after 2012 we lose 4 more Seniors...?

We should not be afraid of Wofford, but we will be as we just don't know what we're going to get out of this team...

Show some execution, effort, and some fire, and maybe, just maybe they'll be able to not only get a W, but also some respect back!

I have been following the site for some time and finally decided to jump in. I have always appreciated a majority of the discussions here, however going after our own fan base seems rather childish. We have always had good support from the town so why rip on that now? Not everyone has to scream like a mad man and jump up after every made shot to prove they are a BU fan. Don't we have bigger problems with Dodie's injury?

Also, I concur with St.Lou, does every thread have to veer down I-74? Granted my worst memory at BU was the last game at Robertson, but I got over it, thanks to copious amounts of alcohol. That was the worst and longest hangover of my life. But I'm over that now. The Valley is going to be a dog fight. Let's get it on.

SaintLouBrave22 - I brought ISU (red) into the picture because that is one subject MOST of us can agree on! A mutual distaste can bring people together and I was trying to inspire some love. I guess what you are saying is that you like those guys up I-74???? Sorry I do not give a rats @ss about them! I'll throw them under the bus every time for the sake of peace between brothers on this site.

No, I don't like them at all...

I was just making a point in reference to what was being discussed by a few in the thread...

I'm highly against them, but being a member of the bar, I had to find a reason to establish both sides there...

They have built a valid case really...

Then again, they haven't had a Sweet 16 run either....

              Can I just say this....I NEED a tournament championship...thats what I need!

Then I will gladly shut up for a long while.

                Please accept my heartfelt apologies.
I didn't take it to heart...I didn't graduate from BU but I've spent enough money over the years on BU to put 3 kids through there.

I am a proud to be a "big" boy....

                  Question,
If small ball should win against a small team, when will big ball win?

                  Confused
I'm a little fuzzy about your comment about BU's "unathletic bigs" ... Weren't we all told by BU staff how good SS, AT, WE, and MK are and that they will help BU get back to the top? I thought AT was called the best big JL has had.

Who recruits unathletic bigs anyway? How does BU miss on all the athletic bigs who have shredded our bigs, and I am not talking about the bigs on BCS teams BU has played...

Will BU's 'unathletic bigs' be any more athletic next year? The year after? Or are we in for 3 and 4 G offense until BU figures out a way to recruit athletic bigs?

I believe if Wofford shows up on ISU's shedule, some (Tornado) might make fun of it but others would point out how good Wofford could actually be.

seriously, I just re-read this whole thread....

Maybe some of you guys don't recall, but back in July and August, there was an awful lot of moaning about Bradley getting Wofford....people used terms like cupcake, worthless, joke, etc...
Seemed there were quite a few posters who thought it was bad to have Wofford on the schedule because of how weak they were...

Now-- we have a nearly 6 page thread moaning and whining about having Wofford on the schedule BUT--
for a completely, 100% different reason....now everyone is worried that Wofford is too tough and that they'll beat BU!!

geez...is this the epitome of manic-schizophrenic??
How can you have such widely differening phobias?? First they're too weak, they'll hurt our RPI, then they're too tough, they are too strong for us and they'll beat us!!
Can anyone else see the bizarre tendency we see so often of certain unstable fans finding something to get hysterical about every single day?
Maybe we should hire counsellors and have a separate forum to discuss psychiatric issues related to Bradley?

We're fans T... We're fans... That explains pretty much everything. As objective and clairvoyant as we pretend to be, our opinion of a player, game, season, or coach can change on a missed free throw... Or so it seems...

We're talking about Wofford just like BCS fans would talk about Bradley.

Initially it would not seem to be as strong as another BCS opponent, and is not a name to draw big fan interest, but you then realize that they are a quality team, they might beat you and you wonder why you took the risk scheduling a no-name loss.

..then you wonder why it is hard for Bradley to get great schedule, we're on the other side of the fence now...

Wofford is a good team but would most likely finish 5th or lower in the Valley, if we cannot beat a decent team at home then we are in for a long year.
I say with Taylor Brown back our inside scoring and rebounding becomes a lot better.
