Tornado- UNI still has 1 available for 2016. In other news, Olson was a walk on, but Jake announced that he has been having medical issues and has decided to just be a student at UNI. Sounded like he just couldn't return to competition following his most recent injury.Comment

Loyola lands a commitment from Class of 2016 shooting guard Cameron Satterwhite
He had previously been committed to Colorado but this summer he suffered a severe knee injury and basically decommitted from Colorado as
they wanted Satterwhite to wait 'til 2017 and recover. The severity of his injury is yet to be determined and he may not even play
his senior season of high school ball.

a juco kid Jarrid Rhodes
he's a tall, thin 6-7 shooting guard who averaged 10 ppg, 6 rpg as a freshman last year at Northern Oklahoma College
He is the 2nd fall juco recruit for Missouri State who will sign in November

this has been a good summer & fall for MVC teams - almost 20 recruits have committed -
filling about 2/3 of the available scholarships Valley teams had to fill.
13 scholarships per team times 10 teams = 130, but you can, on average, only fill 1/4 of them each year -
...so that averages to about 33 scholarships each year to fill in the MVC - about 3.3 for each team, perhaps more if quicker player turnover
and this past fall, 2015, was an enormous year for that & now 2016 will be a bit less of a big turnover year...
- so this coming cycle, 2016, will be an average to slightly less - year with (unofficial count) 31 or 32 to fill for 2016,

Missouri State uses their final 2016 scholarship and land Greg Williams..
he is a slender 6-6 wing player from Genesis Academy in VA - originally from Texas
He had been hobbled part of the past year by an Achilles injury but was being followed and offered by Virginia Tech, USC, and Texas A&M before that...
and then recruiting fell off so Missouri State may have a steal if he's fully recovered...

Northern Iowa got a commitment Thursday afternoon from a 2017 recruit, the first 2017 commit for MVC schools.
Austin Phyfe is a 6'8" forward from Waverly, Iowa (about 15 miles north of the UNI campus). He grew up a UNI fan and his father played for UNI in the early 1990s.

Thanks for keeping up with all this. UNI now has only 1 scholy remaining in 2017 as of now. UNI will only graduate Morgan and Austin in that class. There are 5 sophomores though (2018 class). That could change in time if there are any transfers.Comment

Wichita's CJ Keyser has also signed and faxed in his Letter of Intent, but no official announcement from Wichita
