Here is a relatively new blogger's (Illinois Hoop Report) ranking of the Illinois class of 2024-
Top 25 - https://twitter.com/Ihoopsreport/sta...79080441938314
26-50 - https://twitter.com/Ihoopsreport/sta...79374429090122
I am not sure I agree on all of them, but his research is good, as he has all the transfer kids at the right school. I have only seen video on fewer than half of them, and I wonder how much bloggers like this actually see of all these players.
Dekwon Brown, formerly of Limestone HS and now at Simeon, should be interesting to watch. He is ranked #8 in the state. He could justify that ranking with a good season at Simeon, which as always, is loaded with talent. And Lathan Sommerville, now at Richwoods HS, could easily end up the #1 recruit in the '23-'24 class. There won't be many teams that can stop him.
Bradley is still recruiting #6 Jack Stanton, #10 Eoin Dillon, #17 Jaheem Webber, #19 Braylon Roman, and probably a few others.

A source tells me that the Bradley offer was a year ago, it was for 2023 & it has “come and gone”. Doubt Bradley is still targeting him, but that could change.

here is an interesting mention of a Canadian kid who reportedly held a Bradley offer out of prep school,
and is presumably available for 2023 or possibly 2024.
This is Evan Meyer and he is big

He played last summer against University of Kentucky and had 6 pts, 6 reb and held national Player of the Year Oscar Tsheibwe to 8 pts
He played prep ball for Canada's Top Flight Academy West in Calgary, about 250 mi west of Saskatoon, where Ja'Shon is from.Last edited by yoda; 08-12-2023, 10:23 AM.

The 2025 Joliet IL son of former Bradley player Jeremy Fears (Jeremiah) would also both be ranked #1 in his class except for playing at an out-of-state prep school.
Also- Aliyah Guyton is #1, Mya Wardle is #8 on one ranking, #10 on another.
In 2023, 6 of the 8 State Championships in boys & girls basketball went to down state schools like Metamora, Moline, Breese, Okawville. Only one was won by a Chicago school, one by a suburban school and none by any Chicago or suburban area public school. So despite lots of transfers like Dekwon Brown, is the epicenter of Illinois high school talent shifting downstate?Last edited by bradleyfan124; 08-03-2023, 07:17 PM.

The PJ Star's Adam Duvall reports that uncommitted junior Lathan Sommerville, who played this past season at an Atlanta prep school, will transfer and play next season at Richwoods High School-
And I am hearing rumors that Iowa commit Cooper Koch, who played his first 3 seasons at Peoria Notre Dame, is planning to transfer to Metamora for his senior season.
Lathan Sommerville is now at Richwoods-
And...
Cooper Koch has enrolled at Metamora
