Bradley remains in contact with Emarion Ellis, a 6'5" redshirt-freshman at Marquette. Ellis was a 4-star recruit out of Davenport (Iowa) Assumption HS in the class of 2021. He initially committed to Texas when Shaka Smart was head coach there, but then switched his commitment to Marquette when Smart got that job. After seeing little playing time as a freshman, he was expected to be a key contributor this past season as a sophomore for a loaded Marquette team. However, he suffered a stress fracture in his leg and underwent surgery last August, and missed the entire 2022-23 season.
Marquette head coach Shaka Smart recruited a couple highly rated 2023 guards, and Ellis decided to leave and enter the transfer portal.

Bradley gets a commitment from Marquette transfer Emarion Ellis. Ellis was a 4-star recruit from Davenport Assumption HS in Davenport, Iowa, in the class of 2021. He is a 6'5" extremely talented and athletic guard. He was named the Iowa Class 3A Player of the Year in 2021, and 1st team All-State by the Des Moines Register. He averaged 18.1 points, 5.9 rebounds, 4.1 assists and 2.1 steals per game per game his senior year.

Remember seeing Mast go up and down the floor in his first year. Mast got his rebounds by hustling and wasn't as athletic as the rest of the starters in his first (sophomore) year. It took a lot of the season to lose some of his upper body weight.

I agree. As athletic as the rest of the roster is, Jonovic seems like a square peg in a round hole.
