Bradley at Wichita State Wednesday 12/31/08

If we play like we did against SIU, we will be in this game and can win it. If we play like we did against SIUE...we will get beaten like a drum.

I say it comes down to the wire and BU wins it....70-67.

Happy New Year and we are 2-0 in the MVC :D

Bradley plays next at Wichita State on Wednesday, 12/31/08 at 7:05 pm.
The game will be broadcast live on Comcast cable channel 74.

Any way to watch the game (for free) on the computer?

There is something called ShockerVision.tv, which is similar to BUBraves.tv. The stream live video of their home games, but it is not free.

Go here and click next to the BU-Wichita game on 12/31/08--

Or go here to the registration page and scroll down to the bottom option, to purchase just the BU-WSU game for $6.95.--

BuddyLee should pay for the game and then share his sign in link with all of us. :D

So if we win, then "everyone" will have had us losing and thinks Bradley is not a good team.

I don't like how Bradley plays on the road (a lot of the time). I'm not saying we will lose. I am not hoping we lose (so I can complain about it). I really hope we win. But I just don't like how Bradley plays on the road (a lot of the time).

Does that make me less of a fan? Does that mean I think Bradley is not a good team? Whatever - I just don't like how Bradley plays on the road (a lot of the time).

So let me make my "rose-colored glasses prediction" to tick off all the people who don't like people with rose-colored glasses.... Bradley wins with a big 2nd half effort 74-58.

Yeah we don't play well on the road. We have yet to prove we can play to our potential in more than one game at a time, and WSU has stuck with some pretty good teams (and by that I mean the good team will show up for us)

I think BU loses this one by 9

I hope I'm wrong though

Real confused about this one MM...from your first paragraph all the way to your last, your score prediction just doesn't make much sense....

I myself am now settling in at the Hyatt...its supposedly 3 1/2 miles from the Arena....we'll see about that...I believe that spells car ride for myself...Its a bit chilly right now out, but nothing I'm not already used to...

Got into the 50's today but its going to be colder and certainly that by gametime tomorrow night...the wind really seems to pick up out here at night...must be that out in the middle of nowhere sort of thing...

BTW....there are a ridiculous amount of eat n go food places here around the arena....like you wouldn't believe...

Found a nice B&G really close to campus...just wish there was more going on tonight...the Illinois/Purdue game was interesting to see though at times....

Anyways, my reason for posting...I certainly wouldn't have made this trip if I thought we were going to lose...that is the furthest from my mind...

I think we come out and attack from the opening bell like we did w/ SIU...the real question is, as they say in boxing, whether we can counter-punch when the Shox make their runs...If we can start the 1st and 2nd halves strong, I know we have a really great shot at winning, but if there's anything I know about this team, I know we usually always finish strong.

Goodnight from Kansas and lets go get us another W:!:

Dave Reynolds' 12/31/08-

Note this about Andrew Warren-
Warren continues his quest to come back from a broken foot, at least until Jan. 10 when a medical hardship decision must be made.
'He did quite a bit on the side (Monday),' Les said. 'It was a pretty intense workout and he's been pain free. But he still hasn't done anything with the team in practice.'
Therefore, while Warren made the trip, he won't play, Les said.
'That's only fair to him and to the team to add a guy they haven't played with in a long time. Before he gets on the floor, we'll make sure he's comfortable mentally and physically in practice.'

Also- here is a pregame article from the Wichita paper-

Note in the last link is a comment about Wichita State head coach Greg Marshall being upset with Creighton trying to run a lob-dunk in the last seconds of their game on Sunday, with Creighton winning by 16 points. The play never came off, but Marshall recognized it, and made a critical comment about it on his post-game radio show. Also, Marshall apparently has a running feud with a sportscaster from Omaha.

In today's PJ Star, Dave Reynolds picks the Braves to win, 65-62.

Kirk Wessler picks Wichita by 5.

Nothing like a little rivalry. :) If a team ran a lob play at the end of a decided game against us I would be a little angry too.

Unofficial stats-
