Late, schmate....the only two other schools even mentioned, Kansas State and Rhode Island,
were extra, extra, extra late....even after the bell!!!!!!

BU lands TWO PJStar Players of the Year in one fell swoop!
 
You made agreat choice not just for your b-ball future but every other aspect of your growth. We welcome you with open arms as alumni and fans of the Braves. :D
 
Welcome DSE. Glad you made the decision you did. You're going to a part of something special here at BU. I like that his mom knows he will hard to get his time and understands full well that is what going to take, even with his talent level.

Noticed that, too. What do you think he considers "late"? I was under the impression we offered, at the latest, sometime in Nov-Dec 08. I'm sure there were plenty of other offers that came in much later.

And beat out BCS teams to get them. It's the first time in a long time that has happened (and I believe first time since the PJ Star started handing out those awards).

There's NO EXCUSES anymore. Facilities are coming. Talent is there. Fan support has ALWAYS been there. We've done all the 2nd rate tournaments known to man. It's time to win some titles and do some dancing. Anything less will be a disappointment. Let's do it NOW!

Not to split hairs, but aren't Wilkins and Harris in different classes?

But, to your point - This is a great class of 4 YEAR PLAYERS. This is how winning programs are built. I love it.

BB....I really believe that barring injuries to DSE the BCS offers would have been plenty....I think he missed a whole season of AAU ball! :wink:

I agree T. For years the knock on BU by the local BU haters was that they didn't recruit the local area players. They might have tried but couldn't get the job done. That has all changed. Great job Coach Les and staff.

If there was ever a year to say NO JUCO'S... that would be the one. SIX of our scholarships in one class... we don't want to add anymore or the year after really scares me.

Of course... it's REALLY nice to be sitting here worrying about a potential high turnover, "rebuilding" year now... for year 2013-2014! That means we have some serious strength going in until then. And I have NO doubts that we will keep recruiting at this strong level :)
