BU 72 - #20 illini 68

You rarely hear a coach show so much emotion over a victory. They always try to stay even keel. You could REALLY hear the emotion -- joy, relief, pride -- in Les tonight on the postgame show. I think this game meant as much to Les as it did to us.
 
I didn't see the game, I just heard the last 4 minutes on the radio..

couple of things neither team shot well from the field but both shot very well from the line.

Jordan plays 25 minutes and Paul 15.....I don't understand that...

Bu only had 10 turnovers to 15 for the Illini...probably difference in the game

Sounds like WE had a great game.....

on the radio it seemed the turnign point was Davis moving screen...

what? Illini called for moving screen?...where's MM now?:D

A GREAT, GREAT WIN! We finally played up to our talent and look what happens. This team could be very formidable if we can continue to play focused, with intensity, and consistantly up to our talent potential.

Congrats. to Coach Les and the staff and all the guys. You made us proud. Well Done!

12, 12, 12, 13, and 16 points from our starters tonight....everyone contributed......DSE and EM both played well.....Sticks made some plays....just a total team effort and a very memorable win for the BU program and its fans......sure wish I was in VEGAS tonight baby.....
 
Moving screen was a biggie - it was part Davis raising his arms but a bigger part SM making it look like he took a punch from Tyson (ala the movie The Hangover).

EM also had 4 rebounds of the 29 in just 13 minutes

Chuck: Heh. I'd really want to go out with Carl tonight since he's probably going to be buying for everyone!
 
Did you see AT make that good foul on a fast break. Did you see WE mix it up a bit with Tisdale. This is what we've been wanting all year, toughness from our players and they certainly showed it tonight. This game could mean a lot to us come selection Sunday. We represented the Valley BIG TIME tonight. What can I say about SM, he was perfect from the line which is just what we needed, great game. Everyone who played had a good game!

Im so glad AW hit that 3! especially with the game he had yesterday...Also what big plays from WE, SM,TB & CR...They guys played hard the entire game!! Rebounding was a very key part in the WIN

We are too!!! That has to be the biggest shot of his career, and has landed his name on ESPN's College Bball frontpage!

Side Note: I finally learned what "NapTown" means as I was there at a relative's house for Thanksgiving.

This has to be Weber's worst nightmare. Since he took over at Illinois, us, you guys, and WSU and all gave him big scares. Now someone from our league finally got it done against them. Way to go! Yes I'm an ISU guy but this is a great win for BU and the Valley.

Congrats from the Panther Nation, Bradley fans! Huge win for the Valley tonight. Great day (win/loss wise) for the conference. BU has the best win in the Valley to this point. Hopefully, someone else can get a better one down the stretch, as that would mean the MVC is really going to have a chance to become the multi-bid league it should.

Keep up the good work in the non-con BU. Pumped! :)
