2025 and beyond recruits

Verbal Commits has an offer from Bradley in June of 2022. Has Bradley offered him twice? I note he is rated a 4-star recruit.

Hard to know what those lists of offers mean.
Here is a recent article about Perry, and it does list Bradley-

It's possible the Bradley offer is old and they are not really involved now. Or maybe Bradley dropped off him when the Power 5 offers started coming, but now they are back involved. He is still uncommitted, which is a bit unusual for a kid entering his senior year with the plethora of top-level offers that are listed.

It seemed a little curious and you mention Byers recently as receiving an offer when he already had an offer from Bradley. I wondered if this was a way to still show Bradley's interest in these players.

I saw Perry has set up official visits to Michigan and Purdue in September.

I appreciate your efforts in reporting Bradley's recruiting.

Bradley extends an offer to Julen Iturbe, who Bradley watched earlier this month and who we posted about back on July 8.

A couple local players that Bradley is now following-
2025 Matthew Zobrist- 6'4" left-handed shooting guard from Metamora HS. He is the son of former Bradley player Aaron Zobrist, who played for Jim Molinari from -1993-1997, and like his father, Matthew has developed into a terrific shooter. Aaron Zobrist is the all-time Bradley career 3-point percentage leader (233-549, 42.4%). He scored 1,017 career points for Bradley. And he lead the nation in free throw percentage in the 1996-97 season (90.6%).
In his first 2 years at Metamora, Matthew has played mostly a reserve role for the 2023 Class 3A state champion Redbirds. This summer he has been impressive playing with Mid-Pro Academy. And, this coming season expect him to be a starter and put up bigger numbers.

2025 Leshawn Stowers- 6'4" SG at Peoria High School. He plays for Coach Daniel Ruffin at Peoria High. He also plays for the Mid-Pro Academy, where he has impressed college coaches this summer.

There have been multiple reports that Bradley offered Jaheem Webber of Normal Community about a year ago-

And in this recent video report by WHOI's Jim Mattson, Webber still names Bradley among his top schools-

But recruiting blogger Jake Lieberman today is reporting that his offers do not include Bradley-

And Verbalcommits.com doesn't list the Bradley offer-
https://verbalcommits.com/players/jaheem-webber

So is Bradley still interested?

Webber now claims to be 6'10"

A couple 2024 recruits that Bradley offered are changing high schools.
The PJ Star's Adam Duvall reports that uncommitted junior Lathan Sommerville, who played this past season at an Atlanta prep school, will transfer and play next season at Richwoods High School-

And I am hearing rumors that Iowa commit Cooper Koch, who played his first 3 seasons at Peoria Notre Dame, is planning to transfer to Metamora for his senior season.

Looks like the rumors were true.
Lathan Sommerville is now at Richwoods-

And...
Cooper Koch has enrolled at Metamora
https://twitter.com/hoijim/status/1687101287211692037

Koch is ranked #2 in Illinois Class of 2024, Sommerville is ranked #3, Limestone's Dekwon Brown is #4 in this ranking (but has now transferred to Chicago Simeon) and Normal Community's Jaheem Webber is #6.
The 2025 Joliet IL son of former Bradley player Jeremy Fears (Jeremiah) would also both be ranked #1 in his class except for playing at an out-of-state prep school.

Also- Aliyah Guyton is #1, Mya Wardle is #8 on one ranking, #10 on another.
In 2023, 6 of the 8 State Championships in boys & girls basketball went to down state schools like Metamora, Moline, Breese, Okawville. Only one was won by a Chicago school, one by a suburban school and none by any Chicago or suburban area public school. So despite lots of transfers like Dekwon Brown, is the epicenter of Illinois high school talent shifting downstate?

I would say it is better coaching. I remember an article Taylor Bell wrote in the Sun-Times many years ago. He acknowledged that Chicago might have better talent but downstate schools had better coaches. He wrote this at a time when Manual and Central were ruling the State Tournaments.
