2025 and beyond recruits

I think we need a couple versatile wings. I still think we need more athleticism.

We need more guys that get downhill and attack the bucket somebody that can take his guy off the dribble when needed, and IMO we need multiple people like that. Think Bully's mindset but at 6'5" or better. Zek and CD, as much as I love them, are not that...Zek is more back to the bucket, but it doesn't produce free throws or get the defense rotating to help like a quick bucket attack does...we need guys who can get by that first defender and cause havoc. I think Richardson will be like that as he adds strength, we need another one.

Also, need, need, need a glass cleaner.....but one at 6'8" or better....We havn't had one in a while.

Totally agree. We were most successful yesterday when we were attacking the rim, and putting pressure on them.

Yeah, Hannah finally figured out that if he continues towards the bucket all the way, that he's tough to stop....seems like for most of the season hed take that first step then turn his back to the defender and let him recover....hes quick and so long that if he just keeps driving hes more than likely going to be able to absorb the bump and finish with his length. I thought Darius really came on in this tourney...just ran out of gas.

I also think we gave up on Meta too early in the Drake game...both by not feeding him more when he was in as well as limiting his playing time.

The unfortunate thing about Darius is that I think he stayed to become a wing player and BW honored that. If he would have played more like Childs or Walker he could have been in the running for POY.

Agree with previous post as we are set at the guard position. I like the term of glass eaters instead of glass cleaner. Anyway we so desperately need players that can drive to the basket and score. If they miss them be able to play like junkyard dogs and get the fair share of rebounds. Staff knows what we need. Now just hope they can find them and have them sign to play at BU. Meta should be even more improved next year. But he is not a 30 minute guy. That being the case, staff must find what what we need. Has been discussed before about having players riding the bench without much contribution. BU can not do that again if they wish to get to the next level. Those are my thoughts. Anyone else want to put their two cents in.

The Staff and BW know what we need! The question is if we're not getting anymore high school recruits, we must score Big in the Portal! For DaCoach: How Successful do you think Bradley will be in the Portal? Can we score a 4☆ Portal Player as Center or power forward? That to me is the experience will need with our Freshman class to put us in position to get to March Madness! As great as a freshman class we are getting, it's likely going to be more then a year for them to get experience! We need a 4☆ and a 3☆ in the portal I believe!

We do not need anymore high school recruits, we need inside MEN. Transfers or JUCOS that have experience that are looking to upgrade their team. I want more athletic wings like another J.Henry type that can rebound and score inside. I also want a 6-8 PF. that can also rebound . We were not a good rebounding team this year , that needs to change moving forward. We supposedly have the most NIL money so we need to put it too good use and find better players this spring.
Last recruiting class we brought in Thomas, Van der Knaap, Thomas and Dillon. One of these players made a big difference but the others not so much.We need to do better.

Bradley has been in contact with Creighton Morisch, a 6'10" senior center at University of Sioux Falls, a D2 school in Sioux Falls, SD. He is one of approximately 250 Division II players who have already entered the Division II Transfer portal.
In 28 games this season, he averaged 14.1 ppg, and 10.9 rpg. He shot 51.9% overall and 34.1% from three. He also lead the team in assists (3.6 apg) and blocks (1.7 bpg).

There are other transfer portal players who have also been in contact with Bradley.

Johnson was a pleasant surprise as a freshman. I think he took advantage on injuries and illnesses to Burch to grab p/t and pass Burch in the rotation.
Dillon battled back issues all season. Can you forsee that?
Thomas contributed, but i would have liked more.
I expected very little from Van der Knapp-I always thought he would be a foreign player who needed a year to acclimate.
I am curious who you think should have lost playing time if different players were brought in? The only spot open really was the 5 wasn't it?
And you are always going to have a couple of guys on your bench who never play.

A few portal or JUCOS that can play the 4 or 5 that are more physical and can rebound. Dillon had injury issues but Burch pretty much covers that spot off the bench. Thomas was just ok but for a Junior he was not consistent enough to make a difference. We made a huge mistake in depending on Atlason to be a decent inside player because he was below ave. on defense and was a minus on offense and for a 6-8 player he did not rebound. Just about every Valley team was able to bring in a lot of portal players that could contribute this season, we did not and it hurt our chances of getting to the big Tour.

There’s a bunch of juco kids averaging 8, 9 and even 11 & 12 rebounds a game
I hope we bring one in.
btw- a 6-4 post player led the conference season in rebounding, and offensive rebounding while also averaging double digits scoring.

I've been a faithful reader of the comments here and I've concluded that none of this matters as the refs constantly are out to get us.

Haha... but that is why Bradley has to become a dominant team again, so they can overcome the calls. :)

Da Coach, why are we only going for Div.2 transfers?Ido realize they are good players and could be even greater! I don't have to look farther then Drake or Christian Davis to know D2 can Win! But can't we try for some good Even 3 star D1 Players? And I know Junior College players can become great also! ( Malevy Leons) . Is this BW view that he can win without D1 transfers?
