Joe Stowell passed away yesterday-
Definitely. That probably should have happened while he was still alive to see it.They need to name floor at Ren-Col after him - he coached both men's & women's BKB and
nobody touched more lives and influenced more Bradley fans than Joe.
Joe coached 344 men's games (197-147) and 27 NCAA DI women's games (13-14) - but Joe was 33-22 overall with the women counting the games before they were ushered into DI
Yes, you are correct. He was a legend and loved BU-he is already missed.
Small note the 49-50 team was coached by Forddy Anderson
I never could understand why the trustees let her do the things she did because she wasted a ton of money.also - many might recall - and this story never got the copverage it should have because the PJStar crew were so far up Joanne Glasser's a** that they couldn't report objectively...
But, Joe was bold enough to call out the horrible job Joanne & Cross were doing running the program,
and he was not only canned from his radio broadcasting gig by Joanne, but she even BANNED him from setting foot on campus!
she presented false financial data to the Board about the revenue losses in the Athletics Dept,I never could understand why the trustees let her do the things she did because she wasted a ton of money.
What is going on at the Peoria Journal Star? Thus far, they seem to be afraid to do any kind of incisive, accurate reporting of the situation at Bradley. WHY?? ....
- A severe financial problem over the past few years that has grown to major proportions as reported by the BU Resources Committee in April, 2014.
- Reported Annual losses in the Athletic Department of over $6 million and in the past few days, a report that this loss amount was actually over $7 million per year, but was covered up.

Your either early or your late.Someone needs to put out a collection of his quotes. I use 2 of them all the time at work and home:
1. You are never as good or as bad as you think you are.
2. If you think you can, or you think you can’t, you’re probably right.
Sounds like a fellow Gen X'er!Loved listening to Coach on the radio starting in '85.... I was 9 years old and heard his whole career on there. RIP Coach.
