Indiana State forward Enel St. Bernard is in the portal
Belmont's Win Miller is in the portal
Murray State's Tristan Ford, a point guard that Bradley recruited, is in the portal
Evansville's Leif Moeller is in the portal.
More to come
Thanks. I looked at those last year. Interesting to watchThere are now about 1,400 names either in the portal or who have announced they will enter the portal. Of those, only about a dozen or less have actually committed anywhere yet.
If anyone is interested in following names in the portal, here are some sites that help-
Verbalcommits- https://verbalcommits.com/transfers - scroll across the names at the top to see the latest names; refresh every few minutes to update; can also follow their feed on X.com- https://x.com/VerbalCommits
Verbalcommits also has a page that updates with MVC transfers- https://verbalcommits.com/conferences/missouri-valley
On3.com- https://www.on3.com/transfer-portal/wire/basketball/ (has a lot fewer names)
The Portal Report- they have a subscription website, but you can follow their feed on X.com- https://x.com/ThePortalReport

in 2025, multiple reports claimed that almost 50% of the ~2,700 who were in the portal, never found a place to play in 2025-26,So those are numbers in the portal. How many didn't get offers?
I read an article in the Fall last year that the number of football and basketball portal players not finding a home was pretty consistent at about 60%.Anyone have stats on the 2025 portal? I wonder how many entered, how many had to drop a division or how many weren't signed at all
Wasn't expecting it to be that high, I'd think that's the number not getting D1 offers, many are getting D2 or D3. Either way, the kids have to know that it's a possibility, so I wonder how many of those were coaches choice rather than the players. Teams still need players, rosters would have about 1/3 open slots if that many kids are out.I read an article in the Fall last year that the number of football and basketball portal players not finding a home was pretty consistent at about 60%.
I think the portal makes it much easier for a coach to tell a kid that he is not coming back next year. I image many of those players end up in D2 or D3 programs somewhere.Wasn't expecting it to be that high, I'd think that's the number not getting D1 offers, many are getting D2 or D3.
