Judge issues ruling that immediately makes all Class of 2022 athletes eligibile for 2026-27 - That would include Meta & AJ Smith.

Interesting... what is your reasoning?
IMO, Stirtz and DeVries were more complete players who created shots for other players, as well as themselves. Quinn was relied on to fill that role in '25-'26, but despite putting up good personal numbers, he was not as successful carrying the team, didn't come up as big in the clutch, and he didn't seem to have as good of a supporting cast. It will be interesting to see how he fits in at another school.

Toward the end of close games, he would routinely take horrible shots or commit unforced turnovers. At least once or twice a game, he wouldn't go back on defense while arguing a call, or feeling sorry for himself for missing a shot. Despite leading the league in scoring, his KenPom offensive rating was below the national average. Did not make his team or his teammates better.

ruling that even if players signed a professional contract they can still come back and play college ball & they can still enter the portal

These judges need to stay out of it since these are NCAA rules that have been agreed to by the schools and leagues.
 
every video shows that he is still on campus with the team and working out... I would take that as a very positive sign that he wants to be back

Are they also going to suspend the roster limit for one year to accommodate them transferring?

UNI's Trey Campbell will not return to UNI. Now that he gets an extra year due to this ruling, he has signed with Utah. (Big 12 Conference)
Trey Campbell was 8th in scoring in the MVC (13.7ppg), 4th in assists (3.8apg), 8th in FT% at 78%,
2nd in steals (1.7spg), and 2nd in minutes played at 33.5 mpg. Coach Wardle pointed at Campbell and an example of
the type BIG GUARDS that he believed we need to go after to continue to compete at the top of the MVC.
Campbell was instrumental in UNI knocking Bradley out of last spring's MVC Tourney.
Some sources suggest the power conference teams have 10 times (or more) of the $$ to "build a roster" than mid-majors.

Given that the revenue sharing cap is around $21MM, and we know from the middling MVC public schools that they have been in the $800M-$1.2MM range, it is entirely likely relatively good mid-majors have about $1.5MM-$2MM to spend on their basketball program, which supports the idea that the power schools do have about a 10x advantage.
 
SIU's Damien Mayo - whose career was ended as he was out of eligibility, has now announced he will return to SIU
for 2026-27. The 6-3 guard played two years at Missouri State, then the past two seasons at SIU. His career averages are 5.9 ppg,
3.9 rpg and 31.8% 3-point shooting, altho in 2025-26 he averaged 9.1 ppg.
NCAA has said that anyone among this group of "Class of 2022 players" who plays will be deemed ineligible regardless of the injunctions, so will SIU
risk playing the guy and getting forfeits?
