2021 Arch Madness

Any news on arch madness? Attendance restrictions? Tickets?

Funny you should ask.... Bradley just posted this a couple minutes ago. It is about Arch Madness 2021, and how to apply for tickets.
https://bradleybraves.com/news/2021/...ts-update.aspx

As of now, the Enterprise Center is planning on allowing 1,400 tickets sold for each session. Bradley is now accepting applications for All-Session ticket packages, and I am sure all the other MVC schools are, too.
It would seem unlikely that there will be any tickets left over for individual session sales.

Each game will be considered a separate "session" and 1,400 new fans will be admitted each game.

Thursday, March 4
Game #1 -- #9 Seed vs. #8 Seed – 5:05 p.m. Central
Game #2 -- #10 Seed vs. #7 Seed – 8:05 p.m. Central

Friday, March 5
Game #3 – Winner Game #1 vs. #1 Seed – 11:05 a.m. Central
Game #4 -- #5 Seed vs. #4 Seed – 2:05 p.m. Central
Game #5 – Winner Game #2 vs. #2 Seed – 5:05 p.m. Central
Game #6 -- #6 Seed vs. #3 Seed – 8:05 p.m. Central

Saturday, March 6
Game #7 – Winner Game #3 vs. Winner Game #4 – 5:05 p.m. Central
Game #8 – Winner Game #5 vs. Winner Game #6 – 8:05 p.m. Central

Sunday, March 7
Game #9 – Winner Game #7 vs. Winner Game #8 – 1:10 p.m. Central

In addition, Enterprise Center will be cleared of fans as soon as possible upon each contest's conclusion with the exception of the championship game on March 7, so that disinfecting and sanitization can occur prior to doors opening for the next contest.

Important changes to the game day experience at Enterprise Center also include: face coverings which must be worn at all times, bags no longer permitted and the facility is a now cash-free environment. The complete list of new guidelines and procedures can be found at //enterprisecenter.com/safety.

Thanks, coach. Kind of figured we were heading in that direction. Thought the attendance cap would be higher, but if they are going to clean after each game - they’re trying to limit the area to disinfect. I guess my streak of 25+ years is over!

Other than the first year of Arch Madness I've gone every year. Obviously the last 2 years we've gotten to party after all of the previous years of coming up short. Part of the fun of Arch Madness is being able to watch the other fan bases react to what's going on, whether it's about the games or the "wonderful" MVC officials. I would love to be their cheering on the Braves in person but as long as I haven't gotten the Covid vaccine my cheering will have to be done in the comforts of my man cave.

The MVC has made a change in the starting times for the 2021 Arch madness semifinal games. The semifinal games were originally scheduled to start at 5:05 pm and 8:05 pm Saturday, March 6. They have been changed to 12:00 noon and 3:00 pm. They will be telecast on CBSSports Network.

While I appreciate Arch Madness allowing fans, I’m a little disappointed in the secrecy/lack of information regarding tickets by the league. No one seems to know much of anything other than all-session tickets are distributed by text. Can they be resold? Are they separate tickets for each session? These are questions that can be addressed easily, and people who don’t have all-session tickets kind of need to know them before they book a hotel. The league is saying little.

I received answers to some of these questions today from the BU ticket office. While the initial allotments are being offered as full tournament passes, the individual games are resellable electronically through Ticketmaster website. It sounds like they are not 2-game sessions as before but individual games, and there will be no paper tickets (sorry scalper bro’s... catcha next year). Thus, there may be some limited single game tickets come available as people sell sessions they don’t want.

Individual tickets available right now on Ticketmaster for arch madness.

Good seats available for all sessions about $30 a piece.

problem is we don’t know which game BU will play on Thursday or if they may grab the 6th seed and play Friday.

Too much uncertainty to buy right now..

Frustrating

I purchased all-session tickets for Arch Madness through Bradley, and have a question for another fan who did the same. Will someone who purchased Arch Madness all-session tickets through BU ticket office please PM me at your convenience?

Tickets for Bradley's game Thursday, March 4 (Game #1) are sold out on Ticketmaster. But it is possible more tickets could be added before game time-
https://www.ticketmaster.com/state-f...005A5784760EA7

But good news! If any fans are still considering going and need tickets, the secondary ticket websites have tickets available-
SeatGeek- https://seatgeek.com/southern-illino...-08-pm/5372119

StubHub-
https://www.stubhub.com/missouri-val...59/?sid=218780

VividSeats- https://www.vividseats.com/ncaab/mis...4-3575032.html

And because there were many fans who purchased All-Session tickets and who will not be attending the 5:00 pm Thursday game, I am sure there will be street sellers (also known as scalpers) with tickets available for purchase.
Note that these secondary ticket websites and the street sellers will sometime ask for prices above the face value, although many of the ticket postings now are selling below face value.

Here are a couple other interesting Bradley MVC Championship-related collectible items fans might be interested in-
A replica "bobblehead" of the 2020 Missouri Valley Conference Tournament trophy which Bradley won last year-

And a replica championship ring from 2020 Arch Madness, Missouri Valley Conference Tournament, which Bradley won last year.

These items look like collectible items that were probably available for sale at last years tournament.
The trophy bobblehead looks similar (though smaller) than the real MVC Championship trophy.

The ring does not have Bradley's name on it anywhere, and it doesn't look at all like the real ones.
Here is an example of what the real 2019 MVC Championship ring looked like-

After you cleared security there was a table of these giveaways and staff handing them out. I believe it was the first 2000-3000 fans. My family of 6 each got a ring and I absolutely prohibited my kids from opening or trying them on until the victory was secured. Seemed like terrible mojo to put them on before/during the game.

In the other opening round game Thursday night, UNI beat Illinois State 65-60.
UNI improves to 10-15, and they will play Drake at 5:00 pm Friday evening.
ILSU drops to 7-18 and is eliminated.

Loyola easily beats SIU in the first quarterfinal game today (Friday, 3/5)-
Loyola 73 SIU 49

Loyola's leading scorer today was former Bradley recruit Jacob Hutson, a 6'10" freshman from Edina, Minnesota-

Cameron Krutwig only had 8 points.
Jacob Hutson played very little this season, appearing in only 11 games and averaging 5.7 minutes per game in those 11 games. He has 13 points today, but has averaged only 2.9 ppg and 1.1 rpg this season, mostly in garbage time playing behind Cameron Krutwig.

Loyola never trailed in this game, opening a 10-0 lead after 3 1/2 minutes. Without Jones SIU just didn't have enough fire power to keep it close. Loyola led by 13 at the half then went on a 16-0 run early in the 2nd half to prevent a repeat of what happened in their OT game last weekend against SIU. Coming off of that game and losing to Valpo in the quarterfinals last year gave them plenty of extra motivation. They were able to play a lot of players so they should be pretty fresh to face the winner of Indiana State and Evansville.

Indiana State took the lead over Evansville just before halftime, and never relinquished it.
Final score Indiana State 53 Evansville 43-

The Sycamores advance to play Loyola in the 12:00 noon game Saturday on the CBS Sports Network.
There are 2 more games today- #2 Drake vs. #7 UNI at 5:00 pm and #3 Missouri State vs, #6 Valparaiso at 8:00 pm. The remaining games today will also be on the MVC TV Network. The winners of the 2 late games today will play each other at 3:00 pm Saturday on the CBS Sports Network.

If you are wondering why you can't find the Drake-UNI game on TV, despite it was scheduled to start at 5:08 pm... apparently the game has been cancelled due to Covid protocol. No clarification has been given yet. Someone from one of the two teams must have had a positive test.
Apparently, Drake came onto the floor for a shootaround, but the UNI team has not been seen. That would suggest it is UNI that either has a positive test or has somehow violated the Covid protocols.
