Thanks DC, I figured if I threw it out there, you would do the heavy lifting of grabbing all of the links :lol::lol:

Those are big numbers, and I like his height. That is a big level jump though. Is there an example of someone recently from NAIA that made a really successful jump to D1 the next year (being as though he only has one left)? He certainly on paper has a lot of things we might look for in a recruit for next year.

So watching the NCAA tourney Princeton vs Creighton. They said there are no “extra years” at Princeton. So I’m assuming their seniors can transfer and use their extra covid year elsewhere??

Langborg and Evbuomwan would be monster transfers

I think that has to do with the fact the Ivy League schools do not allow athletic scholarships. So the NCAA Extra Covid year must somehow not apply to them.

A couple of Princeton transfers have played in the MVC the last couple years-
One of Loyola's top players last year (2021-22) was Ryan Schwieger, who was a transfer from Princeton.
And Drew Friberg, the guy from Belmont who killed Bradley with his three point shooting in both games was also a Princeton transfer.
Friberg finished the season with the 2nd highest 3-point percentage in the country-
https://www.espn.com/mens-college-ba...alPct/dir/desc

He was 11-17 (64.7%) in the two games against Bradley.

no, the entire Ivy League cancelled the 2020-21 season, so nobody played and nobody used a year of eligibility, but they did maintain their four years of eligibility but not 5 years.
The only people who get the extra year ("The Covid year"), are those who did play that year, 2020-21, and now get to play it again because it does not count against their eligibility. Players who did NOT play that year cannot play an extra (5th) year.
https://www.cbssports.com/college-ba...e-to-covid-19/
Check Drew Friburg, he did not get 5 years because he did not play 2020-21- https://belmontbruins.com/sports/men...w-friberg/3295

New portal name- Trey Pettigrew- 6'3" combo guard originally from Chicago Kenwood Academy in the class of 2022. Bradley showed some interest in him out of high school, but he eventually committed to Nevada. In his freshman season at Nevada (2022-23), he played in 27 of their 33 games, averaging 11 minutes per game, 3.2 ppg, 1.4 rpg, and 9-35 from three on the season. His playing time dropped off late in the season, and now he has entered the transfer portal.

Bradley has reportedly offered Kyle Thomas of Eastern Illinois, who is in the transfer portal-

He is a 6'10", 240 pound freshman from Bolingbrook, Illinois, who attended Benet Academy. He played in 29 games and started 8. He averaged playing 13 minutes per game, 5.9 ppg and 3.7 rpg.

Bradley is now recruiting several other portal players. Can't post names yet, but there is a lot of talent in the portal who could be quite successful in the MVC. And with luck, the coaches will land some.

Another portal player Bradley is recruiting-
Tevin Smith- he is a sophomore at the University of Denver, and is now in the portal. Bradley recruited him and reported offered him 2 years ago when he was at Danville (IL) High School. He has been mostly a starter at Denver since he arrived. He averaged 10.4 ppg as a freshman, and this season he averaged 10.0 ppg, which was 2nd highest on the team.

Another portal name that Bradley is recruiting- Drake Allen. He is a junior at Southern Utah with 2 more years of eligibility because of the extra Covid year.
https://twitter.com/ThePortalReport/...37967223439361

Bradley recruited Allen a year ago as a 6'4" sophomore point guard at Snow College, a junior college in Utah. He ended up committing to Southern Utah, where he had a pretty good year. SUU finished 24-13, and 12-6 (3rd place) in their first season in the WAC. They made it to the championship game of the WAC tournament where they lost to Grand Canyon U. They played in the NIT and advanced to the final 8, where they lost a tough game to Eastern Kentucky 108-106 in double-overtime.
Drake Allen started 37 out of 37 games, averaged 30 minutes per game, and averaged 11.0 ppg and 3.7 assists per game. He shot 49.8% overall, and 35.5% from three. But the head coach at SUU was just hired away by Bowling Green. So Allen is now in the transfer portal. He will likely be looking for a full time point guard position.

This seems like the perfect fit. He will have already transferred once, which is nice for us with the new rules. He is a 6-3 point guard from what I can find and had nice numbers all the way around as a freshman - nice assists, shooting, free throws, low turnovers. Steals seem low so I wonder about defense, though that isn’t the best way to measure defense of course.

Seems like a good kid from the quotes he’s given and must be smart enough to be a business analytics major. I like it, sign me up!

I haven't seen Landon Moore play. But, for a freshman to score 13 ppg and shoot 36% is impressive, even in a weak conference like the NEC. The NEC was the lowest rated conference of all 32 Division I conferences in NET-
https://www.warrennolan.com/basketball/2023/net-conference

His best game was a 25 point output in a game at Final Four team Miami.
Game log- https://www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/player/gamelog/_/id/5106612/landon-moore

As far as defense, that's hard to judge, but here are a couple possible indicators.... His stats show only 12 steals all season which is very few for someone who played almost 600 minutes this season.
And, he averaged fewer than 1 personal foul per game, which is sometimes an indication of not very aggressive defense.
