as usual, our friendly redbird fans can't help but display their lack of class.

I'm not trying to wear out my welcome here, but not all ISU fans feel this way. Yeah there will always be animosity, but I can assure you that most Redbird fans were pulling for BU last year in the NCAA's. I would say 25% might have cheered at the most.
I'd also like to add that the old joke about "can't go to school go to state" is simply an outdated concept. Illinois State academically has undergone an extreme transformation the last 6-7 years. It's now regarded as one of the best public universities in the midwest. I don't have the links handy, but I've read several sources that support this.
It's a good school as much as you claim it's a bad one. I have my BS from Illinois State and I'm proud of it.
Back to the topic at hand, I know several Redbird fans that were very much in support of BU in their NCAA and NIT appearances the last 2 years. You can't lump us all in that pot.
Carry on......

I've had some other profs dis ISU openly in class too. I'm glad the faculty helps keep the rivalry going.
But let ISU's fans say whatever they want, they have no where to go but up.
