Always a Brave team in FINAL FOUR of The Basketball Tournament

The Always a Brave team remains in 8th place with a vote total now of 329-

But note that there are a couple teams gaining fast on them (Indiana Heavy and Canton Bulldogs). So the Braves need more votes to secure a place in the tournament. Please continue to spread the word and encourage anyone who hasn't voted to help out. Forward this link to anyone who you know and ask them to follow the steps and vote for Always a Brave-

Always a Brave's vote total has risen to 346. But the bad news is that another team, Indiana Heavy, has moved ahead of them and pushed the former Braves down a spot to 9th place in the Midwest-

Now the Golden Eagle Alumni (Marquette alumni) are gaining on Always a Brave, too. The will need more votes to stay in the Top 12 in the Midwest Region. So please continue to spread the word and encourage anyone who hasn't voted to help out.

Anyone know what the orange "ineligible" dot means next to the Always a Brave team? Tere are yellow "eligible" dots and orange "ineligible". Just curious. Thanks!

Voting ends June 1 - and the Bradley team has now slipped to 10th place in vote totals in the Midwest.

If the top 16 teams from each region (64 teams) get in..then I think our guys will still qualify as the #16 team is more than 100 votes behind..

but it would be nice if we could get a lot more votes from our fans...so please, if you have not signed up - it only takes about 2 minutes and vote for "Always a Brave"

It has been a slow voting week and the team needs some help to climb back up the standings. To answer a couple of questions:

1) Yes, you can only vote once, but you can gain points by getting others to vote. It's a bit of a pyramid scheme, but one that does not cost anyone any money. We simply need everyone to share the word and encourage their friends to vote. Here's the direct link to the team page, which includes a big button that will take you to the fan registration page: https://www.thetournament.com/teams/always-brave-bradley-alumni

2) Regarding ineligibility - The team will not transition to the "eligible" status until seven players are registered. Will Franklin was added this morning! I have more than seven who have agreed to play, but still working through their registration materials.

thanks...
there are some conceivable ways a single person can vote multiple times, and I suspect some teams that have in the thousands of votes have already figured that out...

Note that the tournament rules address the issue of fans attempting to vote more than once:
http://www.thetournament.com/sweepstakes-rules

10. In an effort to ensure the legitimacy of the winner selection process, the Producer retains the sole and exclusive authority to exercise its discretion in its review of Fan accounts. In its discretion, Producer may eliminate or delete Fan accounts that it deems to be fraudulent or created in an effort to deceive or manipulate the application process. In its discretion, Producer may also eliminate any individual Fan from receiving a prize if Producer deems that the individual has attempted to in any way manipulate, cheat, or otherwise falsify any element of the Fan registration or voting process or violates or acts in any manner inconsistent with these official Fan Contest Rules.
a. Fan and Participant accounts MUST BE CREATED WITH TRUE, CURRENT, AND ACCURATE FIRST NAMES AND LAST NAMES AND ALL OTHER BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION PROVIDED MUST BE ACCURATE AND VERIFIABLE. PRODUCER RESERVES THE RIGHT IN ITS DISCRETION TO ELIMINATE OR DELETE ANY ACCOUNT THAT IT IS UNABLE TO VERIFY AND CONFIRM AS LEGITIMATE.
i. The Website will only display a Fan’s First Name and Last Initial.
b. A GM, PLAYER, BOOSTER, OR COACH MAY NOT ALSO BE A FAN OF HIS OR HER TEAM. ANY GM, PLAYER, BOOSTER, OR COACH WHO IS FOUND TO HAVE CREATED FAN ACCOUNTS IN VIOLATION OF THESE RULES OR THE TOURNAMENT RULES RISKS ELIMINATION FROM THE TOURAMENT, SUSPENSION, OR ANY OTHER PUNITIVE ACTION WITHIN PRODUCER’S DISCRETION.
c. A FAN MAY NOT CREATE MORE THAN ONE ACCOUNT IN SUPPORT OF HIS OR HER TEAM OR ANY OTHER TEAM. Producer reserves the right in its sole discretion to eliminate duplicate accounts, but does not warrant or ensure that all duplicate accounts will be discovered and eliminated.
11. By creating a Fan account, an individual assents to being contacted by the Producer, through whatever means available to Producer in order to verify the veracity and legitimacy of the Fan’s account.

So if other teams are stuffing the ballot box, those extra votes could get deleted, and teams with fewer votes could move up.

Bobby- gotta use that huge database of all Bradley students & alumni and send them all a plea to register and vote -
make it easy with quick-click links and see if the guys at the PJS can help out -
with all you do for them - they ought to give a tiny front page Sports Section piece to your efforts...

Always A Brave ......

Always A Brave ......

Bobby Parker....I have registered but the web site will still not allow me to vote. They say that thet already have my email address and won't accept the one (same as before) I entered. This voting process is difficult and I am unable to vote. What is going on with these people?

The rules state:
"12 teams with the most votes in each region as of June 1st automatically get in."

(other additional teams also get in..)

http://www.thetournament.com/about

Currently - Bradley's Always a Brave team sits in 9th place in the midwest..
..but there are 3 teams within easy striking range - fewer than 10 votes behind...

We could use a big surge of more votes....
is it beyond a stretch to ask every employee at Bradley to cast a vote?? Send an e mail!
