Always a Brave team in FINAL FOUR of The Basketball Tournament

The TBT organizers have announced a partnership with Big Brothers/Big Sisters. The bad news is, they have cut the automatic entries based on regional fan voting down to 11. The good news is, they will give one automatic entry in region to the team that generates the most funds on behalf of Big Brothers/Big Sisters (more details on the fundraising to be announced and will follow the fan voting period).

With that being said, Always A Brave was 11th in the Midwest Region as of this morning. Be sure to tell you friends, get them registered and vote for Always A Brave.

Ex-Bradley Brave Tyshon Pickett is playing for a team in the SOUTH region - the DMV Warriors - who currently have 488 votes and sit in 20th place in the SOUTH

fans can vote for up to 4 teams- so you can log back on & help Tyshon and I have likewise asked him to request that all his fans vote for us...
BTW- they are in a different region so your vote for them cannot possibly hurt Bradley's chances..

Yeah, I've been doing the same on FB, but I get no response...maybe I have a lot of family and friends in the Fort Myers, FL area who couldn't care less.
 
but check this out...
just since I posted the notice about Tyshon Pickett's team - and asked if our fans would cast a vote for them, in less than 24 hours they have MOVED UP FOUR SPOTS!!!
They have gone from 20th in the South to 16th - FIFTY new votes in the past 24 hours - so we might be helping TP!
...but it's still hard to imagine they will move up enough to get to the top-12 in their region
 
I did, and I think that played a part in our numbers surging by 40 votes within a few hours after that

there are only two weeks left of fan voting (ends June 1) and we have to avoid slipping to 12th place or beyond!

I just send the link by text message to everyone I know, my kids, family, etc... every additional vote counts..
we are up almost 50 new votes since yesterday morning so keep it up

I also attached a request for each of them to forward the request on to every friend they can and so on like a chain letter and within minutes, there are several new votes on our tabulation!! Looks like it works!



btw- Tyshon Pickett did confirm that he passed on the link and request for all his friends to vote for Bradley - and so likewise we need to log on and vote for his team....here's the link again...

btw- since I started posting the links to help out Tyshon's team, their vote total has jumped almost 100!!!!!!!!
..and TP personally thanked me for the huge jump in their numbers knowing it was our fans helping out.

Our team has added over 50 new voters in the past 24 hours and are only 5 votes out of 10th place!! - should be there by end of the day!!

I am still hearing from people that the voting process can be confusing to some. So I am reposting these steps if they help anyone to register and cast their vote-

If you have not voted yet, or if you know someone who might help by voting- go here and register-

Here is how to do it:

Enter your name (only a first name and a last initial will actually show on the fan list)
Then enter your email address
Then create a password for your account
Set your date of birth and gender
Then on the line for your team- type Always a Brave, or you can leave this line blank
Then click on the box saying "I Have Read And Agree To The Fan Contest Rules, Privacy Policy And Terms Of Use"
Then complete the easy CAPTCHA verification step.

You will then be sent a final verification email to the email address you enetered (note that it might show up in your SPAM or PROMOTIONS file). If you have a @gmail.com account, it will probably be in the PROMOTIONS file. Click the PROMOTIONS tab at the top of your Inbox.
Open the email, and click on the button or link to complete your registration.

Then go here to the Always a Brave team site to vote-

And then click on the right side where it says VOTE FOR THIS TEAM, then click the CONFIRM button.
 
our fans are doing an awesome job - just don't let up now...
keep texting, calling, e mailing, Tweeting, etc....
get more people involved - everyone you know...

our fans have put up 80 NEW votes since Monday - this has been one of the best weeks ever - we have zoomed 40 votes ahead of the 12th place team that was right on our backs - and we have now passed the team that was 10th and taken over 10th place...

Keep it up Braves fans!!!
 
I've done all I can to contribute.

I've still got 2 votes left... it would be sweet if we could link up with a bubble team from another region and work out a package deal to sink uncommitted votes into each other's coffers. I wouldn't know who/how to contact though.
 
I responded to a TBT Facebook post with an offer to use my remaining votes for a non Midwest team if they would in turn vote for us. No way to prove that they actually did vote for us but it can't hurt have to rely on everyone being honest!
 
Anyone who wants to vote - even if you don't have an email address to use,
can go to yahoo.com or gmail.com and sign up for a new e mail address and then go and vote for ALWAYS A BRAVE -
it takes only about a minute to acquire a new e mail address, pick an appropriate e mail identity/name, then go back to THETOURNAMENT.COM site and cast a vote for our team...
Everyone get busy - we cannot fall to 12th place and risk not making the tourney!
 
Just noticed something VERY interesting....

the team that packed on more than 150 votes between Tuesday morning and Wednesday afternoon, a team named Real Chicago'...(Chris Head, Mac Koshwal, etc..)
had suddenly zoomed past us into 10th place...I even commented that it seemed very suspicious!

BUT...suddenly they have had 100 or so votes REMOVED (just suddenly disappeared!) from their vote totals....
someone at the Tournament must have found those votes were submitted by robots or automated programming and cancelled them...

so now their vote total dropped back to 613 - they are now in 16th place and we are back in 10th!!
We have 782!!

Good catch T, I was trying to figure out how we moved up. Glad to see the tournament is keeping a close eye on voting and trying to make everything fair. Keep spreading the word guys and let's make sure our guys get in!
