Black Uniforms

This probably has been discussed here before, but I didnt have time to go back through all the threads. Did anyone else really love the black unifroms?? I thought they looked really stylish and gives the Bradley uniform a real modern look. Any one else agree?

Yeah, never posted in the other thread. I thought they looked great, and wouldn't mind seeing them back (despite the loss)-- but maybe if we only use them in games against ISU... Here or in St. Louis.

Some people said in the other thread that they would like to see us wear them on the road and not give up a home game in our home whites. I agree with them. I'm glad we did the blackout because the uniforms look sweet, but I'm not a huge fan of the visiting team wearing their home jerseys on our court. Now when we are on the road, I think that is a different story. We are already wearing something else besides white and I honestly think our black uniforms look better than our red.

Why can't isu just keep wearing their red road jersery?

Here's an idea....Saturday road games Black jerseys?

Also, I would love to see us break them out Friday night in St. Louis...I think it would be a real great advantage to have the team in them given the FOX Sports Net exposure and many would turn in and say, wow, Bradley has black uni's now.

I loved the Black Jersey! Who cares what KW thinks? He is as bad as the discarded GF that you left because she was a complete head case. What does he know about style, all I ever see him in is a button down shirt and caqui pants.

Post of the day!!! Btw, don't forget KW's Raiders of the Lost Ark hat he wears that went out of style in 1984!

I am not sure the NCAA allows teams to wear their "alternate jerseys" for games away from home. That would probably also apply for the tournament games in St. Louis.

I can think of two in particular....

Kansas red and Duke black jerseys are worn on the road in certain games.

In the paper today with people responding to KW ONE guy who agreed with him (that it was a bad idea) stated it was just a "gimmick" to get fans to go to the game.

I would argue not a SINGLE fan went to the game for THAT reason. First no one even knew about it other then some rumors and why in the world would someone that previously wasn't interested in the game all of a sudden go..."ohhh, I just gotta go see the Black uni's they MIGHT be wearing..."

I agree with KW...winning is the most importaint thing and something we all want more of but this IS college basketball and this IS entertainment and whats wrong with having a little bit of fun?

When you are losing though people will question almost anything remotely related to the team.

I would say..."Kirk, if winning is what BU should be worried about ( and I agree) why should you worry about what they are wearing? Those Uni's have nothing to do with the product on the floor...good or bad.

How can this be? The Illini have worn both Orange and Blue unis on the road before, and one of them has to be their alternate because white is home. Notre Dame has worn Black unis on the road when their road is navy blue. As SLB said Duke and Kansas have before too, as have others.

Here is an article that clearly shows Gonzaga wearing their black uniforms against UNC in the tourny last year as well, which I looked up because I thought that is what they wore:

KW obviously has an axe to grind. This should not be surprising that KW would bash the program. He is quite becoming a character that you picture pulling his hair muttering."Oh that Jim Les I just have to get him!" With mini me next to him and his pinky extended next to his lips.

...I would say..."Kirk, if winning is what BU should be worried about ( and I agree) why should you worry about what they are wearing? ...

he's entitled to worry about all kinds of things, as we have been told that is his "job"...since he's not a reporter...he does a lot of worrying for all of us...
he worries about what some bi-polar east coast, fired ESPN writer says about renegades and he worries about what land Bradley might be interested in purchasing down the road, and what goes on behind closed doors when the University hires an AD...etc...
he is our designated worrier...
