I'm guessing were getting paid at least decently in this event...
That's not usually how Duke operates and it's not how MSU operated.

I love this quote dogs!It really made me laugh.
Oh, and Duke WILL be good next year. I think they will be a preseason Top 10-15..... and it will be justified, IMO.
I'm working on it! But not what you think!;-) 8)
Hey Ben! Keep me in mind if you score some tix. Seriously. Your connection is probably much better than any of mine.![]()
This is a great job by all involved on the Hilltop. Now BU has to find a way to pull of the W.
I know most think it cannot be done, but most said the same about the Kansas and Pitt games.

This is as beatable as Duke has been in years. Much like when we beat Kansas in the NCAA's, Duke will likely have a roster of mostly very young (albeit very talented) players. Kyle Singler I believe will be their most experienced (and clearly best) player. The rest of the guys should be relatively inexperienced. Duke will likely be way overrated, and if the rumored date holds true, the students will be gone and the place will probably only be 2/3 full. We will have as good of a shot as we'll ever have.
Hey BB you better take a close look @ this Duke team as they will more then likely start the year rated #1 (already are in many pre season poles)and that isn't because they won last year. They return 5 of their top 7 players and add Seth Curry to that group plus bring in one of their best recruiting classes they have had recently.
On the other hand I am very happy to see BU playing them and my hope is that we are respectable. Of course the last 2 times we played teams and I said that, it was Kansas in the tourn. and IL last year and we all know how those turned out. Could I possibly go 3 & 0 in these "look respectable" games? Time will tell.
Just for the sake of argument...
since I have frequently seen Valley fans and even top people in the Valley such as coaches, AD's, and League personnel
saying that Valley schools should NOT do guarantee games and one-time road deals.....
Then someone explain why we have not seen that argument here?
Don't get me wrong, I have been in favor of this kind of game for years and have applauded when Wichita State went to LSU and Syracuse, etc...
I have no problem if the top guys will play us, jump at it.....
But, I wonder why those who have argued strongly against Valley teams doing guarantee games (I know Jank and even Doug Elgin have been outspoken against doing it) are silent here..
This is a dumb game. I would rather have a home win than getting blown out on the road on espn.
