Bradley Women

..... Next game- Saturday, Feb. 7, 1:00 pm at Indiana State
The Bradley women played another great game and beat Indiana State on the road in Terre Haute 85-75-

Senior Kaylen Nelson had 30 points and was scoring from everywhere on the court, and a team-high 7 rebounds.
Sophomore Mya Wardle had another terrific game. She was 8-12 overall and 7-8 from three for 25 points.
Bradley shot 13-25 (52%) from three

The Braves improve to 16-8 and 94 in the MVC

Bradley women are streaming on ESPN+
but if you want a little laugh, the two commentators are hilarious...
they've already misidentified just about every Bradley player once or twice (as if they all look alike)
but some of the silly comments like
... "she's really good at putting the biscuit in the basket'....
..... "as Yogi Bear (not Berra) would say...deja vu all over again", and
...."she was so wide open she coulda taken time to eat her lunch"
..."a lot of things she does well, free throw shooting is not one of them"

MVC standings-

BU women win at SIU 56-53
They go to 11-4, an amazing turnaround from their 13-loss MVC season last year & 18-loss season the year before
and they did it despite losing their best player/top scorer each year

And they are very young. They often play 3 freshmen and sophomores. Also a season ending injury to one of their starters.
This team is exciting to watch.

Bradley women hosting Murray State - don't know where they got this team of refs, but they are terrible
BU WBB trails by 20 in the 4th quarter

I was there-Kind of a disappointing crowd given how well the women have played this year against a good Murray State Team. Show up for Belmont. It was a disappointing game-Perryman was out with illness which hurt. Mya Wardle did a fantastic job against Pock-the MVC leading scorer was held to 4 points on 2-17 shooting.

I want to support the women. But going to a game, for 2 hours to watch something I don't particularly enjoy is a tough serve. My being there won't affect the win or loss, so why bother if its not something I will enjoy. That said, hell yes I want them to succeed, and I even tuned in for the last few minutes yesterday against Belmont (which i swear took 45 minutes). I would also consider a trip to thier tournament if they got to the title game.

Every team, including women's teams, want as many fans as they can get. Watch a game or two on ESPN+. and I'll bet you'll enjoy watching this Bradley team. They play an exciting style, and they are all very likeable, high character girls.
