Bradley Women

The Bradley women closed out their final two games of the regular season with a win Thursday against Evansville, and a close loss at home today against Illinois State. The Bradley women lost an overtime game (58-54) over in Normal on Feb. 1, and today they lost a heartbreaking 1 point game at home 66-65.
Bradley lead the game by 7 points with 1:34 left, but then ISU scored the last 8 points in the final 1:34 to win the game.

Bradley finishes the regular season 20-11 and 13-7 in the MVC, tied for 3rd with ISU and UNI. Bradley will lose the tiebreaker among the 3 teams, and will be the #5 seed in the tournament (same format as the men's tournament)
The MVC Tournament is Thursday, March 12-15 in Coralville Iowa at the Xtreme Center
 
#5 seed Bradley gets a bye for the Thursday games, and plays #4 seed UNI at 2:30 pm in the Friday, March 13, afternoon session.

Yeah, that was a tough one. But I loved the energy in the arena. Now, UNI awaits, and BU rolled in the last meeting.

Still: what a change from recent years: only 2 home losses, total.

Bradley freshman Maya Foz was named to the All-Freshman Team, and was named Freshman of the Year.-

There was a huge upset in the women's MVC Tournament last night. #10 seeded Evansville came into the tournament with a 7-24 record, 5-15 in the MVC regular season. In a mild upset, they upset #7 seed UIC on Thursday night. Then Friday night, they beat the #2 seed Belmont, in the biggest upset in tournament history. Evansville becomes the first #10 seed to advance to the semifinal round. They will play Illinois State today.

What's up with Jim Mattson. No mention about the Bradley women's game during his sports show. I am sick and tired of his bias with Illinois. I know he went to school there but he needs to be reminded of where he lives and works. Peoria and what is the University in the town

Totally Agree!!Can't stand Mattson!!If it doesn't have to do with Illinois he doesn't care.Why doesn't he just move to Champaign.

Mattson should move to Champaign simply because his sports program is 80% Illinois and 20% whatever he decides to throw in that day. It has been like this for years and will not change until he retires or leaves.
