They will be tough this season. They just clobbered Alabama in a closed scrimmage today by 26 points, 92-66. The game was played at Alabama-

we play Carroll University Thursday
but they play a game tomorrow night (Tuesday) at Marquette

Here's a preview they posted about their team

Our November 10 opponent Southeast Missouri played their first exhibition game against Southwest Baptist
and won 85-78.
Southwest Baptist led early in the 2nd half then SEMO rallied but it stayed close with SBU closing to one point (79-78 ) in the final minute...
then the SBU coach picked up a technical, SEMO made their FTs and pulled away to the 7-point final margin.
SEMO's sophomore Ledarrius Brewer led the scoring with 25 points.

just a warning....

if any Bradley fans are interested in buying tickets for the game AT LOYOLA...

they have just announced that TWO of their home games are ALREADY SELLOUTS!! (their games vs. Nevada & ISU)

I'd have to think their home game March 2 against Bradley will soon be a sellout so be forewarned!!

I think that is what they were hoping Mark Montgomery would be that guy when they hired him in 2011. He had been a top assistant under Tom Izzo at Michigan State for 9 years, came highly recommended, and was said by many to be an outstanding choice, with a great pedigree, and someone destined for success.

But it hasn't worked out for them. Montgomery has had only 1 winning season out of 7, and his record has gotten worse each of the last 2 years. And has never had a winning record in the MAC. He's never come close to an NCAA or NIT bid.

There can some times be a problem firing someone like Montgomery, who has powerful backers like Izzo. A similar thing happened a couple times over at Indiana State in the past when they had to fire Royce Waltman in 2007 and Tates Lock in 1994. Both had been closely associated with Bobby Knight, and Knight had a lot of power and influence in the state of Indiana. It probably hurt their recruiting after each guy was fired.

an incident at NIU possibly just moved NIU head coach Mark Montgomery a little closer to the HOT SEAT...

These three guys are expected to be their three BEST players - and they are all trying to one-up Milik Yarbrough...

potential Cancun opponent Penn State is good this year...
they just knocked off #13 ranked West Virginia at West Virginia in a charity exhibition game

One other thing about New Mexico, they now have former 5-Star Illini recruit Carlton Bragg...
however, since he transferred mid-year from Kansas to Arizona State to New Mexico, he will not be eligible until 2nd semester so he will be unable to make the trip to Peoria to play on December 1

Bradley plays New Mexico on DECEMBER 1ST

NCAA has just denied New Mexico's Carlton Bragg's request for a waiver to play immediately...
thus he will have to wait until the end of the 1st semester - roughly mid-December...
And so it appears he will not be eligible when they play Bradley

Bradley plays IUPUI in Indianapolis on Wednesday, Nov. 28.
Today in a closed scrimmage, they annihilated Chicago State 86-50.
Vanderbilt transfer Cameron Justice had 24 points for IUPUI. ....

Camron Justice is now leaving IUPUI & transferring as a grad transfer...

I would love to get him - he is 6-3, averages 18.6 ppg, but I suspect he is going to try to go way higher...
but he spent 2 years at Vanderbilt and averaged only a couple points per game
