BU 72 - #20 illini 68

Tornado, good to see you at BWW.

What can I say!!!!! My heart was racing the whole last minute of that game. I thought the ball movement was crisp tonight and that was something that had lacked in previous games. The shot selection was good as well.

Andrew Warren, I never doubted you!!!! I've had injuries that have kept me off the court for extended periods of time and I understand that it just takes time to return to pre-injury form. I think he's about all the way back!!!!!

Sammy, in the words of Frank Bussone, "ICE WATER!!!!!" Great effort Braves!!!!!! Let's go get'em at NIU!

Some posts from the isu board last night.....

illinois vs. bradley will be a TERRIBLE game. the illini will win by 20+.

Agreed. Illinois won't trail the whole game.

For bradley to have a prayer against a much better coached and more talented and presumably angry Illinois team a few things better happen:

1-Andrew Warren better have more points than turnovers. Last night he didn't

2-The great inside trio of Egolf, Thompson and Sign better have more than 6 rebounds between them in their 40 minutes of combined time.

3-bradley better consider actually making some FT's.

4-better give Maniscalco some help defending the Illinois guards.

Last night bradley was 14-24 from the FT line. They lost by 11 points. Maybe if they made 18-19 from the line it's a different game.

I would love to see bradley make a game of this and stun the world with a "W", but I just don't see it. Then again Seattle U beat Utah so what do I know?

1. Warren with 16 points, 0 turnovers.

2. Egolf/Thompson combine for 11 rebounds in 40 minutes. (and some guy named Brown had 7 rebounds)

3. Bradley made 15 of 19 FT's.

4. Illinois guards combined for 28 points in 105 minutes.

Now we know how to "stun the world"!

Has anyone else noticed a differnet offensive spacing and motion lately, especially in tonight's game?

here are the scores to all the Valley games today.....

notice the Braves next game is @ NIU who only lost by 7 pts @ UNI!

UNI beat NIU by 7. UNI hit their first 2nd half FG with 7:30 to go in the game. They had 2 FT's (2 of 4) prior to that. UNI's defense really buckled down to get the win, but it was THE ugliest UNI win I have seen to date. UNI couldn't hit the broad side of the barn. Plenty of good looks, missed bunnies, FT's, and uncharacteristic TO's. Regardless, it's a win, and Bradley should still win by 20 in DeKalb. I don't think BU could play much worse offensively than UNI did tonight...plus you have more athleticism.

Safely home from BW3's.

Great game and great win!

Was a great experience. Saw a couple board participants. ;)

We OWN UIUC til we play them again.

GREAT atmosphere at BWW's in Peoria tonight! Loved the back and forth between the fans! Too bad it probably won't happen again anytime soon. Bruce won't be signing up for anymore tournaments with Bradley after the last two and I'm fairly certain he won't schedule us himself.

I just hope we bring the same focus to NIU!

I also thought the video looked good on the bigscreen. A lot better than I had expected!

Just back to the hotel- what a great night!
There were around 1200-1400 Bradley fans in the Arena and may be slightly more Illinois fans. The BU fans hung around after the game to congratulate the players. They were a happy bunch of guys.
I got to meet Taylor Brown's folks who are here with a large contingent of family. Also, Milos and Will had large families here.

Now a lot of people wearing red are celebrating!

Glad you got to experience the game first hand Coach! :D Like Snell said, this was easily one of the top ten all-time wins for Bradley. We now need to build on this, which I'm sure we will.

I was at the student center watching party. About 125-150 people and a lot of fun. Nice setup with 3 large projection screens and good sound and lighting. Feed was good tonight. There were also a few illinois fans. What a win.
