BU recruit 2014- Josh Cunningham

he knows Iowa State relies on tons of D-I transfers & jucos that result in big time player turnover there - so he prob sees his spot as shaky

History has shown that Bradley does not have a lot of success when highly desirable recruits wait until spring to sign. Hopefully, we could start a more successful trend.

Does anyone know if JC is still going to honor his official visit to BU this week-end.......would say a lot if he does IMO!

Iowa State is in Chicago today visiting Cunningham so they have not cooled on him even with McKay's commitment to the Cyclones. Cunningham would play the 2/3, McKay the 3/4 in Hoiberg's offense. No clue where Josh will go, but if it is indeed Bradley, it will not be because Iowa State backed off. I want Iowa State to get him badly, but mostly I want him to make the right choice for him, wherever that may be. Good luck Josh.

We keep being told that the recruits that Geno has gotten will be difference makers or key contributors. So far Pickett has been it. The jury is still out with this years recruits but we've been told that this is one of the better recruiting classes of recent times so we'll see. By all accounts Cunningham would be one of those difference makers so let's get that commitment Geno. Finish in the top 6 and we'll be moving in the right direction. Finish this season playing in the Thursday game in St. Louis and I'd question if we'd need a new direction.

that article is very interesting...

-they say if Cunningham waits until spring some schools
"that were previously eliminated could jump in"

that's odd... do they mean that schools who blew him off will come crawling back - or schools that Josh closed the door on he'd reopen consideration?
Either way - it speaks of one side or the other getting desperate and going back to previously discarded options - so what's up with that?

and don't count out a surprise at any juncture...Chicago kids seem to always get plenty of "guidance" from their gurus and handlers...

The history of college Chicago basketball is littered with names of highly talented kids who flopped big time where they were "guided" (Darius Smith, Leon Smith), and who even if they did have some success, had disastrous careers in one way or another because of those handlers' influence (Antoine Walker, Eddie Curry, Jereme Richmond)...then you can't help but see the talent wasted because of the bad choices.

When you consider all the tremendous talent coming out of Chicago - and yet how RARE it actually is that a true success at the college level and beyond only seems to come along once or twice in a decade like DRose & Dwyane Wade...then it actually makes you wonder what happened to all those other talented kids
