Shea Feehan of Peoria Notre Dame scored 35 points tonight in a loss to Peoria Manual.

Yes. He made the decision last night. He was impressed enough after his visit there that he cancelled the other visits he had scheduled.

I heard about that. Peyton must have been very impressed with Texas A&M to pass up a chance to visit the other schools. And we'll probably never know what Roy Williams thought.

Peyton Allen's Chatham team has the #1 seed in the Taylorville Regional which they should won - having beaten everyone in their regional except they did not play Mattoon.

Shea Feehan continued to get interest from a few D1 coaches, and Jim Molinari liked him a lot. It's possible a D1 offer might have come if he waited. But with Mo leaving WIU for Nebraska, Feehan decided to commit to the Division II Lewis Flyers.
Congratulations on the scholarship, and IMO he'll be a very good player at Lewis and Coach Scott Trost (former head coach at Illinois Wesleyan).
Lewis is coming off a great season where they went 21-6.

Shea Feehan ended up redshirting and not playing this past season at Lewis
Max Cook - another potential recruit in 2014 from Lincoln - played in 2014-15 at DII Missouri-St. Louis - got fair minutes (almost 20 mpg) averaged 2.7 ppg and hit 21-49 (43%) from the arc

Peyton Allen will be attending current D2 UI-Springfield next year and will play for the Prairie Stats.
Unless he gets a waiver from the NCAA, I think he has only 1 year of eligiblity left.
Peyton Allen was a 2014 recruit from Chatham-Glenwood HS, who received an offer from BU coach Geno Ford in the summer of 2011, before his sophomore season. He visited Bradley unofficially back in Feb., 2012. He started getting many higher-level offers and finally committed to Texas A&M his senior season in February, 2014. He stayed at Texas A&M only 1 season and left after the 2014-15 season. He transferred to Wichita State and sat out the 2015-16 season. Then in September, 2016, before he ever played a game at Wichita State, he suddenly left the team and withdrew from school. There was never any explanation for why he quit basketball.

Pretty interesting to read back thru this thread that started in 2011!!
Apparently at one time Peyton Allen did have Bradley high on his list, but once the frenzy started in the spring of his senior season (2014)
he got a few bigger offers, chose Texas A&M but aimed too high....
then he has bounced around the past 3 years- sitting out one at Wichita, then leaving Wichita and sitting out some more.
At one time Allen's AAU coach was hired as assistant at UIS - but now he's at Lindenwood.
He's somewhat of a classic example of someone who should have just chosen from his midmajor offers and he might have had a great career...
..but you gotta wonder what happened at Wichita- Allen bolted from there -- he might have been the first hint of some turmoil at Wichita,
as a lot of players have bolted since then and the Shockers have only won one first round NCAA game since Allen left (they had won nine in the 3 years (2013-16) before that!)
..also interesting is that earlier in this thread - Coach Molinari was actively recruiting Shea Feehan, and who knows - maybe Feehan would have landed at WIU except Coach Mo left WIU for Nebraska only days before Feehan was committing, and Feehan chose Lewis....
