I think what we've got here is a perfect example on how perception can cloud reality.
Yes, Broski presided over many of the projects and made some critical decisions that have been mentioned by DB earlier in this thread, but the perception of him was Oz-like, the man behind the curtain, sheltered away. To be honest, I found it really easy to miss all the contributions because of that. Now, maybe that's shallow or ignorant, I admit that, but I think lots of us, whether we want to admit it or not, feel the same way. And ya know what: that's human nature.
Now, Glasser, on the other hand, I think it's safe to say, looks and acts as if she bleeds red and white, and you know it! Maybe Broski did too, but who knew? Personality goes a loooong way towards so many things. Our society is conditioned to be in awe of and priveliged to meet people in positions of power, so when the Prez goes to meet you instead of you meeting her (does that make sense?), you can't help but feel special. Believe me, I've seen this and experienced this on about the largest level with the largest people you can think of......
I'll give Broski his due, he did accomplish a lot for the university, but given Glasser's initial impression and actions, I am anticipating some really, really fantastic times and improvements to BU.
