CHN Top 144 Countdown for 2009-2010

You know I like the confidence and knowing we will be successful. If most of us didnt feel that way or believe it, then I guess we would be a bunch of Indiana State or Evansville fans and simply either not care or have quit and given up.

If we dont believe in our team, then I am certain no one else is going to believe in this team.

And not to make excuses but yes every year something has happened but that something has been an injury or more to key members of the team. If that can be avoided there is absolutely no reason to not think this current team is not capable of a high finish within the Valley.

I like this post very much. ;)

As Ben would say, "Post of the day goes to Houston!":-D

Hey -- did you guys know Carlton Fay graduated?? That's what these guys say...
and somehow Tony Boyle found a way to get more eligibility!
as you read on, it is apparent the guy is really mixed up....!
"The frontcourt lost its best scorer in Carlton Fay. During his senior campaign,
Fay tallied 10.4 points per game and added 4.6 rebounds. Tony Boyle will be
the new go-to-guy in the pain
t. Boyle was the team’s most effective player
on the glass last season and could be again this year.
With Fay gone, Booker will have to step up ...
Replacing Fay is what could turn this team around. .........can this team be
that much better than they were last year without Bryan Mullins and Tony Boyle?"

btw-- last year he picked SIU to be 2nd in the MVC right behind Creighton and at #43 overall!
I guess he didn't want to get embarrassed again.

I think Oakland is going to have an awesome year. Outside of Kangas, they don't lose much, and gain back one of their best players who had to redshirt last year due to injury. I'd put them in the top 70-80 teams and surmise they will be one of the 10-15 best mid-major teams in the country.

Yea... I thought someone (or some) thought Oakland was gonna be tough this season. Or maybe someone (or some) thought Oakland coulda been a contender in the MVC this year.

I could be wrong.

Me - I think Oakland will be good. I look forward to following their season. Go Grizzlies!

Oakland seems to always have some big bodies and some quality players, but then considering the crummy conference they play in, how come they never win it?
Is this going to be the year? The CHN guy seems to think so.

If I had to venture a guess, I'd say some other team in the conference ended up with more wins than they did.
