Butler made a very uninspired hire with an alum, NBA assistant, no head coaching experience - Ronald Nored. Tough one to eventually fire in 3 or 4 years when he inevitably sucks as a head coach. They better be careful or they're going to wind up the DePaul replacement at the bottom of the Big East.
Haha... The name Ronald Nored is a blast from the past. He was a Jim Les-era Bradley recruit in the class of 2008.
Here is the thread about him from April, 2008, and it was started by you, JMM28-

The article linked to in that 2008 post was a Rivals.com article that is no longer accessible, but it mistakenly listed Ronald Nored as having committed to Bradley. But if you had a premium subscription and could read the entire article, it was revealed that he actually committed to Butler.
Bradley had indeed been recruiting Nored, a 6' point guard from Alabama. In fact, this post shows that Nored had visited Bradley before committing to Western Kentucky.

After Nored verbally committed to Western Kentucky and Jim Les had commitments from 2 other point guards (Eddren McCain, from Louisiana, and Darian Norris, from las Vegas), Bradley dropped off recruiting him. Nored later switched his commitment to Butler in April, 2008 when Western Kentucky coach Darrin Horn left to take the South Carolina job.
Rivals.com, a subscription recruiting website, erroneously posted the headline with Bradley instead of Butler (seems like that has happened before

)
Nored went on to a
decent, though not spectacular career at Butler (career avg. 5.8 ppg) and was part of their back-to-back NCAA Tournament Final teams in 2009 & 2010 with future NBA'er Gordon Hayward when they were still in the Horizon League. After finishing his playing career in 2012, he got a job with his Butler coach, Brad Stevens, who, by then, had moved on to coaching the Boston Celtics.
