Dunson and Roberts

Here's my take:

1 - McCain 28, Maniscalco 12
2 - Maniscalco 20, Dunson 14, Norris 6
3 - Warren 32, Roberts 4, Dunson 4
4 - Brown 16, Roberts 16, Prosser 8
5 - Singh 20, Egolf 16, Prosser 4

Per player totals:
Warren 32
Maniscalco 32
McCain 28
Roberts 20
Singh 20
Dunson 18
Brown 16
Egolf 16
Prosser 12
Norris 6

Really excited to see how Brown improves, wish there were more minutes for Norris but he'll get a big boost the following year. Would love to see MilosK get some minutes but he's the one I know the least about and we won't have an 11-player rotation.

It's fun to look at this stuff. FISH, I disagree with Sammy Man and McCain. I just dont see their minutes decreasing by almost 10 per game. Jim Les LOVES having Sammy out there. He plays him a lot. And he showed a lot of trust at the point in Eddren. With Andrew back Eddren is still the only true PG on the roster.

It is fun to look at this stuff. Who knows what'll actually happen... Reason for my splits there--

I love Maniscalco's game as well, but there's no reason for him to play quite so many minutes. You'll notice that I have him with the second most minutes on the team... I just think there's no reason with our depth next year to totally wear any of these guys out. We could play with some serious tempo on D and maybe press some if we play deeper into lineups. The big minute decrease I see in my lineup that I don't like is with Heavy D. DN had a nice freshman season and I expect him to become a big contributor for us, but I don't see how to get him minutes ahead of EM, SM, CR, DN, AW.

The other key feature of my little lineup there is that with our bigs we wouldn't have a single minute of guard at those positions. That really depends on Egolf being ready and Prosser too. I know I shouldn't get high on freshmen, but really good freshmen contribute right away, and that's what I think Prosser will be.

Anyway, who knows really? We'll see the product on the floor next season, but I think a lineup like that would give us a "special" result. :D I'm already into off-season koolaid mode. OHHH YEAHHH!

It obviously looks like it will be hard to get everyone playing time.

I would be very surprised for JP to play more then 12 minutes consistently unless there is an injury or something.

As the season goes some will come to the forefront and really relish the challenge of competition and a some will shrink back. We could have another injury or two as well so there will be opportunities for people

This is my prediction, J.P. in high school had to play soft many times because if his team lost him they were in trouble. In college where he will be able to be more aggressive he is going to be absolutely domainating. I think as a freshman he will average double figures in points per game. I know many people see him as a 4 but I think he is better suited as a 5. He will be the best 5 as a freshman that B.U. has had for as long as I can remember, even including P.O.B. I'm hoping J.L. will use him and W.E. at the same time in games. Also in high school he played the whole game most of the time, in college he will be able to be used maybe 20 minutes a game and stay fresher and more aggressive.

BFan 49. I will buy you 20 beverages of your choice if JP averages double digits in points next year. It won't happen.

I'm with you! I'm hoping he gives us double digit minutes! Who was the last big we had that came in as a Freshman that gave us double digit points? Granger?:-o

O'Bryant had 10.0 ppg and Granger had 11.1 ppg (both on play-in game teams)

I'm rooting for Prosser, but it seems like a big transition to go from the Corn Belt Conference to the Valley (I say that as a past player in the corn belt).

It looks like I was a little slow on the stats.

Maybe I'm drinking a little KOOL-AID on JP....but after watching him this season...he can score better in the post than anyone currently on the Braves....in basketball, you either have it or you don't, JP does and is special(the Real-Deal!) He really wants the ball down low and works hard to get it, and has a purpose when he does, there is no-dribble-dribble ...pause move, the ball stays above his head (never brings it down to his chest or waist like the current Braves to be stripped by a smaller player,) just takes the ball to the hoop or takes a soft jumper or rarely misses a lay-up! I see no reason for him not to get 10 pts a game....even as a freshman.... JMO! :D

I hope you are right and it sounds like he has the fundamentals that our bigs are lacking this year. We can hope he develops the strength in order to be able to maintain his position in the paint and rebound. He'll have a great mentor with SS showing him the ropes.

I think that next year will be a transition year for JP as he gets used to division 1 college hoops. I see JP averaging between 10-14 minutes per game. We all know JP has all the fundamentals, but I think he is a year and 15 pounds away from the significant contributions some are predicting here.
