Final score: UT-Martin 78 Bradley 67

Not to be a negative Nelly but 4 of last nights starters are seniors. We have some youth but most of it sits on the bench. SF could be really ugly and with the time change I have to stay up late to watch it.

I agree because this is not a young team. We need to get a lot more out of our seniors period. I am wondering why Zobrist did not get to play last night because he does a lot of things well. I guess his defense might not be good enough yet but some of our other players did not defend, shoot and rebound well last night.

Was wondering why we did not see Zobrist as well. Last coaches show I had a little talk with the coach on that subject. His response was simple and to the point. You want playing time you have to earn it in practice first. So hope he keeps at it so we can see him hopefully going forward. Shooting the ball in the game was absolutely terrible. Going 3 for 20 from three point will not win you many games. Just have to have them keep shooting them in practice and hope it carries over to games. Have no doubt Wardle will have them playing better as the season goes on. Referring back to the coaches show he made the comment he fully expects his team to be vying for championships come Feb. and March. Let's hope so.

I'm not as pessimistic about things for this team as some, but not much to feel good about the last game.
Timo and Meta played very well.
3-point shooting and 3-pt shooting D was TERRIBLE. Ja'Quan played bad most of the night although his numbers weren't bad.

Onto the next game. I still think we have the talent to compete for the Valley title, but this game was not encouraging.
Hopefully the guys reflect and improve in all areas. Still may take a few games to gel.

UT Martin is a very good team and we knew that - tho Vegas had no clue

I listened to the game on the radio. I'm obviously very disappointed 😞! However, the pre-conference games don't mean much! All that matters is that coach Wardle has this team playing well together by February into The tournament in March! We have talented players and if they can Gel later in the season, we could have a decent shot in St.Louis! Coach wardle's teams that won the MVC tourney stated slow and came together at the right time! So Coach is good at getting his teams to come through by the end of season! My one last commented is aimed at our Freshman! We need them and so far Richardson & Zobrist seem tentative on the floor!

UT-Martin played their first game since beating Bradley last week. They played on the road at a pretty good Florida State team, and hung close much of the game but ultimately lost 87-73
Box score- https://www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/boxscore/_/gameId/401826708

They shot the ball pretty well (44% overall, 41% from three), better than Florida State shot. But the big factor was turnovers.
UTM had 26 turnovers, FSU had 6. They had 23 turnovers against Bradley.
Interesting that the game at Florida State drew only 4,367 attendance for UTM. Bradley drew 5,096.
UT-Martin plays at Southern Illinois in 3 weeks.

lol I just headed here to post this and saw yours. I thought it was interesting on the turnovers for UTM again...also UTM outrebounded Florida St 38-30. If UTM can clean up their turnovers they could be pretty solid.
