How many scholarships do we have to give?

Maybe I'm the only one .....but really confused as how many scholarships we have left for next season. We started with 5, Howell and Roberts have committed so does that leave 3 openings? The scholarship grid shows Howell and still has 5 opening with Robert's not added yet.:?
 
As I have posted elsewhere, because Mikey Howell is taking the extra year granted by the special one-time rule passed by the NCAA, his scholarship might not count toward against the maximum limit of 13. Terry Roberts' scholarship will count. So if Howell's scholarship doesn't count, that would leave Bradley with 4 more scholarships available. If his scholarship does count, it leaves Bradley with 3 open scholarships.
If anyone has a source that clarifies, please post. The NCAA has been vague in their public announcements about how the extra year will work. It's possible that D1 universities have received more detailed information than we have seen in the public releases.

Also, I have heard that they probably will not use all of the scholarships this year.

My understanding of the extra year rule was that it only wouldn't count against the scholarship limit if players stayed at the same school. If a player decides to transfer and use their extra year of eligibility then their scholarship would go against the new team's limit. I may be wrong though, I couldn't find a true answer on this.

Interesting thought, and I wondered if that was possibly the case, too. But, if this was true, you'd think the NCAA would make that clear. Yet, nowhere in any source that I can find is it suggested that the athlete's scholarship won't count against a team's limit only if he stays at the same school. Again, if anyone knows the answer, let us know.
