ISU blowing out Creighton

If ISU holds on to win, then either UNI or ISU represents the MVC with the Auto-bid in the NCAA. Both teams laid eggs in the BracketBuster - a game away from home against out-of-league competition. Eeesssshh.
 
Have a feeling it might be ISU and UNI getting into the big dance if ISU loses tomorrow. The committee might pull one like they did that one year and picked us over MO State. Was that the Sweet 16 yr? I can't remember.

An awful lot of fortuitous things would have to happen to get either UNI or ISU into the NCAA tournament as an at-large. I don't see it happening. The NCAA refused to take MSU a few years ago with an RPI of 22, and ISU's RPI now is 54, and UNI's RPI is 74.

The hard thing to take is ISU will be in the championship game 2 years in a row, we need to start getting there soon and make a habit out of it , I like the fact that Jankovic has played Odiokossa and Sampay at the same time , it is a huge matchup problem for Creighton, also when Eldredge plays hard he is a better all around player then Woodfox and tougher to guard, Ill.State may have the most talent of any team in the valley.

Creighton needs to get this to a respectable score or THEY might not make it in as an at-large. I hope they can cut this to single digits, but right now it is 50-28 ISU! Ouch!
 
If Jank was smart, he would pull all of his starters or at least keep 1 or 2 in at a time for the rest of the game. 13 minutes left, 20 point lead.

I agree. And I think ISU will avenge last year's choke-job and blow out UNI in the Championship game to get the auto bid. It would take a lot of luck for tomorrow's loser to get a bid.

If ISU wins, it'll be interesting to see if they get paired with the other Big State U from Illinois in a 4/13 matchup.
 
For those that stayed, it got very hostile in the arena. Wichita fans didn't leave and the Creighton students took out their frustrations on the Wichita fans which resulted in many ejections for Creighton fans and from what I saw one Wichita fan. One person asked this question as a joke and I thought it was funny so I'll repeat it here (if it breaks any rules feel free to delete it) "What total was higher, the total number of Creighton points, or the total number of Creighton fans ejected?" I was actually afraid to be sitting in the middle of the fire that was going on between the two sets of fans. That will make for two interesting games next year with Wichita St. and Creighton.

Well, to be fair, look what happened to Creighton's lead yesterday. There's a balance... you don't want to start to coast too soon, but on the other hand you don't want to look like you are running up the score.
 
Many have been saying the Valley is a one-bid league this year. That seems to be holding true. Hopefully, the two teams that make the NIT will be top four seeds and get home games. Otherwise, it could be a very embarassing postseason for the Valley.

I would say that it has to be pretty close! 20-25 got the boot on Friday if they came close to that yesterday....wow! If I am the Valley or arena personnel, I might want to think about school officials sitting with the students next year! That has to be embarrassing for the school to have that many kids thrown out!
