One would think a top rated recruit, who we think would make such a big difference in the MVC, is still available...
With all the early NBA defections going on, and JUCO's being snapped up, shouldn't a a player with JW's hype, with 3 years eligibility vs 2 for a JC player, been scarfed up by now by a mid to upper level BCS program?
Something just doesn't seem right with this whole recruit...will be intersting how this plays out and how good a baller JW ultimately becomes in college.

Bradley was the 1st school that was willing to take a chance on John Wilkens, he has been a secondary thought for a lot of schools so I hope he realizes that he was our 1st choice and still is which should be the most important thing for him in his decision, he will have a lot better chance at playing here instead of Indiana where most of their fans do not believe he is good enough for them.
This whole thing reminds of an average looking girl in high school, let's call her "Brandy". She had a nice personality who would do anything to be "Johnny's" girlfriend. Brandy had a crush on Johnny for years and he loved the attention she gave him all that time. Of course as Johnny become a popular jock, he spent most of his time flirting with the hotter, easier girls that had all the "attributes" a young man desires, hoping to hook up with one of them so all his buddies would think he was cool.
Johnny always knew that if he got deperate as prom approached, Brandy would forget all the time he spent chasing after the cheerleaders with questionable morals and just be thrilled someone like him would hook up with someone like her. He treated her like crap and he knew it, but he didn't care because he was out of her league and she should have been happy to have a chance with him.

I am ready for John Wilkins saga to end. BU basketball will be just fine either way. Hopefully JW will see all the great things that make BU unique if not that is fine and will wish him well.

From all I am hearing in NC Tyler Zeller is not going any where.
I forgot to post the twitter message. This guy (inside the hall) is an Indiana guy with his own site. Probably not as good as Peegs, but he is informative.
Insidethehall: I don't buy rumor of Zeller being unhappy at UNC. Mom was wearing Carolina Blue at recent AAU event. Ed Davis going pro will solidify PT.

UNC has 3 FIVE-STAR kids coming in this year (Harrison Barnes, Reggie Bullock, Kendall Marshall), and had soph John Henson (6-10) and the Wear twins, Travis & David (both 6-10)..
but at Indiana, they basically have nobody, and are willing to promise tons of playing time to 6-7 D-II juco kids...so Tyler just may be homesick...and not want to return to where he was only 7th in playing time allotted..
Ed Davis, despite what he says, still hasn't hired an agent yet...he was only a 13 ppg scorer...but right now he is projected as a lottery pick, so I suspect he'll stay in the draft.....

Noreen is an interesting kid. He committed early to Boston College, but has now gotten his release.
He finished his senior season with averages of 38.6 ppg and 16.5 rpg!
He competed on his high school varsity team since the 8th grade, and in his 6 year career has scored 4,086 points to become the all-time leading scorer in Minnesota high school history.
However, he plays for a very small high school in Minneapolis- Minnesota Transitions Charter HS, and he played mostly against other small schools in his career.

Does that mean he won't sign his NLI right away since you used the word Verbal? I honestly just want this to be over at this point beyond any more doubt so I can move on one way or another. I still hope he comes here though.
I have no idea why he is so desperate to go there, no matter how much he loves it. I love Bradley basketball, but if I was a recruit and they strung me along like Indiana is to him there is no way I wouldn't pick a school that really wanted me to be there. I just don't understand. It's not like they are a better choice in any other aspect either, including winning.
In life it is sometimes very hard to understand what motivates an individual. I'm sure JW is a good guy but I'm not even going to put any time into why he is letting someone string him along. I can only guess and more times then not people try to please everyone else instead of yourself. How many times have you made a decision based on how others would perceive you then actually what you felt was best for you? Sometimes they are the same but when they are not it takes a person who is extremely secure to do what is right for themselves. I hope JL is not waiting around and if I'm a betting man I'd bet the farm he is not.
I don't think anyone knows that he IS waiting for an offer from Crean... he may already have it and is just taking his time in deciding between IU, BU, ISU(Red & White), ISU (Red & Gold), and even perhaps Iowa. It may look like Crean is stringing him along but no one knows that... seems pretty unfair to the kid to assume that... IMO
