Matt Roth

20 point scorer this year?? are u kidding me???

ok, maybe 15. bradley is not a 3 point shooting team but with a theoretical roth, you can be sure he'd get far more looks than at iu this year. he's every bit as good or better a shooter than crouch and crouch averaged 16 last year. roth has deeper range.

i like roth but Jeremy Crouch would kick his ***

Hey-- talk about good 3-pt shooting...here's a guy we all remember...

He's having a pretty good year, albeit for a team that'll go nowhere!
http://www.wyomingnews.com/articles/2009/02/23/sports/19sports_02-23-09.txt

Ogirri is shooting 40.6% from beyond the arc, Wyoming is 5-7 in the Mountain West.
for comparison....here are some other really good 3-point shooters and their stats...
Booker Woodfox - 51.3% leading the nation
Matt Chalupa (Grinnell- DIII) - 57.3%
Jeff Teague (Wake) - 51.3%
Jordan Zimmer (Delavan kid playing at IWU) - 51.0%
Ty Lawson - 49.4%
Mareceo Rutledge - 47.2%
Justin Dentmon - 46.6%
Tweety Carter (Eddren's HS teammate playing at Baylor) - 42.8%
Trent Meacham - 42.7%
John Diebler (Ohio St.) - 42.4%
Dustin Maguire (Northern Ky. DII) - 41.2%
Sean Ogirri - 40.6%
Robo Kreps - 40.5%
Tyler Hansbrough - 40%
Josh Mayo - 39.1%
Sean Johnson (Matt's teammate from Washington playing at IWU) - 38.9%
Matt Roth - 38.9%

and here's one....Wisconsin-Platteville has 4 different guys who have all shot 50 to 139 3-pt attempts that have outstanding 3-pt percentages...
Mike Shaw 42.2%, Curt Hanson 41.7%, Charlie Lohoff 41.4%, Nick Allen 41.3%

looks to me like the simple factual statement that IU is 1-13 is not my fault, please find someone else to vent your anger at...

and funny when BU players get ripped and criticized, we hear you say that they are old enough and playing on a big enough stage
that they ought to be man enough to take it.....or have you not seen those posts?

Indiana is bad, not because the NCAA was mean to them, they are bad well......because they are bad.....and IU has done to itself way worse than anyone else could have done to them.
I have said repeatedly that I like Matt Roth and would have loved to have seen him at Bradley.
His 38.9% 3-pt shooting would be among the leaders at Bradley!

Then why do you delete my simple factual statements concerning the Molinaris?

I wanted Roth more than any recruit recently. You say we aren't a 3 point shooting team, but we obviously are when we have the shooters. He would have done well at BU, but no way he would be getting 20. Yes he would be the best shooter on Bradley, unfortunately it's a whole game of basketball not H-O-R-S-E or a three point contest. I knew he would take a while to adjust at Indiana and he is improving. I am shocked at how bad he looks on defense when I have seen him though.

Among Valley teams, we are 7th in overall 3-pt attempts and 9th in conference games. It's not as big a part of our offense as it is for the majority of the Valley.

do a search if you want...
Matt Roth is mentioned in just a half dozen threads in the last month...

go ahead and do searches on Bill Cole, Jamar Smith, Dyricus, any other Valley coach (Altman, Lowery, etc....) or even President Obama!
They are all mentioned roughly as many times or in as many threads!!!

Even Kirk Wessler and Kyle Whelliston get mentioned in considerably more or as many threads, so I think you're overreacting.

Can someone explain the strange anti-Matt Roth-phenomenon we see here.
The very mention of his name causes people to get hostile and demand we stop talking about him.
Has he caused certain people problems in the past???

Easy cyclone, I'm a huge Roth fan. Just having some fun.

BTN has a nice video interview with Matt, but I won't put up the link as it always seem to irritate people.

He's a local kid so just like Donivine or Shaun Livingston, topics about him could be viewed as relevant.
There are no requirements that you must view or read them, and generally they are clearly labeled.

I like Matt Roth and wish he'd have ended up at Bradley!
his ribs are bruised, he might play today

Maybe you can answer your own questions.

Sounds like he did... read through the thread. Positive thoughts throughout. People need to get over the obsession with who certain people may like/dislike..
