Glad Drake made it in. Hope they can do the Valley proud and win against the shockers. That would taste real sweet.

I think Loyola got completely shafted by their seeding. 10 in NET and a top 25 team gets an 8 seed?? Please.

I think we are pretty confident that Loyola can hang with anyone in the tourney this year! I actually am a little more scared about the first game than those that follow. I don't see Illinois being that much better than Loyola, but they have played much stiffer competition.

#8 seed was an absolute jip job - but at least Drake got in, which I was thinking they wouldn't.

This is good news for Loyola.... Georgia Tech, Loyola's first round opponent on Friday will not have their best player available.
Leading scorer and rebounder Moses Wright, a 6'9" senior forward, will miss Georgia Tech's games this weekend.
He was named the ACC Player of the Year last week, and averaged 17.4 points per game and 8.0 rebounds per game this season.
He is also a 39.3% shooter from three point range.

Loyola started out as a 2.5 point favorite and is now a 5 point favorite.
 
If you count all the past and present Valley teams in the dance, we'd be looking pretty darn good.
 
Both teams dealing with some Big Dance nerves after the first 5 minutes. Drake is 2-6 overall and has 3 turnovers while Wichita is 2-8 overall. 5-5 with 14:40 left.
 
Drake off to a bad start offensively as they are just 2-11 overall, 1-4 from 3 but Wichita struggling as well as they are 4-16, 1-6 from 3. Hemphill came into the game with around 14:00 left and he's got 1 point and 4 rebounds. Off an 8-1 run in the last 4:00 the Shockers lead 10-6 with 11:16 left.
