Next game- BU at BYU, Friday, Nov. 13

This feels like an opponent going to Carbondale earlier this decade. Very few come out with a W or even a close game.

It'll be interesting to see how they match the teams up next year. I'm sure many of the schools will feel ripped off.

Actually, going to be up in Wisconsin. I'm hoping I can sneak out and find a bar somewhere...

Was going to play the "sick" card and go to the hotel bar when everyone left, but the hotel bar has no DirecTV! :( :D

***Cracking of the whip emoticon***

Question:
does Bradley get a return date nextyear at home vs. BYU or do we just get the MWC/MVC Challenge oponent not of our choosing...
so what if we get Air Force in return....wouldn't that be a real rip?

Seems to me that the pairings will be up to the two conferences...

My guess is more like 60/40 leaning toward the MWC

That's my understanding too. This isn't anything new. We aren't getting hosed or anything. Think of how the B10/ACC Challenge is - they don't give/get "return" games.

We are likely gonna get somebody different in Peoria next year (unless we finish last in the MVC - I believe the team who finishes last is left out of the MVC/MWC Challenge the next year).

and somewhere in SF! My GF will be going with me to keep an eye on me so there will need to be wine. That eliminates all the good hole in the walls that I love.

If you drink wine at the "hole in the wall" place you like to go to, then your "hole in the wall" places are diferent than those I frequent in Peoria County. Not that I don't enjoy wine, it's just that I've never seen any wine in any of these places.

I said wine eliminates my favorite hole in the walls. Some do serve wine but it stuff closer to rot gut then anything close to being drinkable. When a bar only serves a red and/or a white you probably should have a cocktail or beer!

I misunderstood. Thinking about cocktails and basketball screwed up my thought processes.

I'd say we got "lucky" with our matchup this season, if you can possibly consider going to BYU "lucky". My point is we got the #1 team in the Mountain West and we finished fourth in the Valley last season, so this is a great opportunity!

TEN more hours!!!

This is correct, but I believe it is on a 2 year lag. Evansville is left out this year because they finished last in the 2007-2008 season. Missouri St. finished in last place last year, so they will be left out next year.

Bradley would be left out in 2011-2012, if they finished in last place this year. But we all know that is not going to happen, right??

I didn't mean anything towards return games...I know there aren't any...

My point was that I feel like the MW will have more influence on the pairings...basically them saying, well, say Team A (BYU) wins conference this year, my guess is they won't want them to go out on the road and play UNI next year if they win conference and had a chance at repeating...

Just a thought.

In all the other games in this series, I'm a bit torn because I go to a MWC school now...

But I'm really excited to see what Warren and Egolf can do, and I hope we can pull off a huge non-con win tonight. Wish I had the time and cooperative weather to head over to the next state and rub a lot of people in Provo the wrong way.
