Next game- isu at Bradley, Tuesday, Feb. 9, 7:05 pm

I was thinking about this so I did a little research on the Bradley-ISU matchups since 1997-1998 because it was the last year available on the Bradley website. Up until the 2002-2003 season, the games at BU and at ISU were always on a weekday, but starting with the 2002-2003 season, every game at BU has been on a weekday while every game at ISU has been on a Saturday. Does this not seem right to anybody else? You want a large student turnout that is loud? Give them a Saturday night game against ISU with free t-shirts and they will be there albeit maybe after a little Koolaid and a few rides from friends who hadn't had any.

Since when does it make a difference which day we play ISU(red) that our student body is not there. I'd also believe it would be harder for ISU fans to make it to Peoria during the week and our advantage to play them up there on Saturday! It's our fault if the lame students can't show up for this one!

SFP when are more people free? During the week after a long's day work or on a Saturday night? Think of it from a students point of view, been in class all day, can sit back, relax, and watch the game on tv instead of going to the stadium, or how about those students who have classes on Tuesday nights and can't go, but on a Saturday they can have Koolaid all day, not have to worry about class or homework because there are quite a few people that choose not to do homework on a Saturday, and then be hyped up for the game. Just saying that it would be nice to play them on a Saturday. Kind of like how it would be nice to have a football team so you can tailgate on the weekends and enjoy the game. I don't see that many college football games on a Tuesday night unless it is to fit into ESPN schedule so they can air on national tv.

If I knew names, I'd post them. There could be recruits, but the weather may keep them from coming.
Taylor's dad is coming, and he shouldn't be hard to notice- he'll be the 6'10" guy sitting somewhere behind the Bradley bench. I met him in Las Vegas, and he's in great shape and still looks like he could play today.

Taylor Brown's dad is going to be there.

How about his mother :D

Students are so busy that they cannot get to ONE game a year during the week against our biggest rival. More excuses from the student body is all that is. Relax and watch it on TV? Student life is so hard. I can't wait to see these students get jobs, have kids and have to really pay bills. Yea, a weekend game would be sweet but how many ISU fans make the trip during the week down here? More excuses is all I'm hearing and Chico's posts ring truer every time I hear one. You know the game will be played so study early and do not procrastinate. I can understand if you have a test the next day but otherwise you can head to the game and still be home to enjoy the 11 o'clock news and be tucked in.

The only thing that makes this game tough is that it's also Greek Chapter night... Usually start around 9, so people don't want to go to only half of the game...

There SHOULD just be a mandatory cancelation of all events from 6-10 so students can go!

I honestly wouldnt even worry about the student section. I've heard more clueless students who couldnt name 3 players on our team saying they are going tonight. The 'blackout' also seems semi popular to talk about. Whether fans that arent up to the date with the team are considered good or bad, the students will show.

a comment from the release.....
"Taylor Brown??™s scoring increase of 10.4 points from last season ranks among the nation??™s top 10 improvements."

I hope he has the same degree of improvement again next year!

His FT percentage is up from 54% last season to 82%! :-o

I agree as its always very easy to make excuses on why you can't do things...

My thought is always, if you want to be there, you will find a way to get there!

This is why there needs to be a sign on every student seat reading...."Come watch Bradley take on #18 Nothern Iowa in a regionally televised game saturday at 1:05."

You are asking for so much. I guarantee that half the students there would only be able to name SS and maybe one other player when asked, and thats merely a result of his 6 year 'legacy'. Its a good idea, but we are already marketing a blackout, lets not ask for too much
