NIT games

This is the first time since 1996 that ISU has made it to the NIT quaterfinals. They will play at Dayton

The bigger issue is the inconsistency in your argument. You acknowledge the benefits were impermissible, then try to soften it with intent and semantics. That’s a weak distinction. If it violates NCAA rules, it violates NCAA rules, whether you call it inadvertent or not doesn’t change the substance.

And the idea that this wasn’t blatant cheating doesn’t hold up under even basic scrutiny. I was there. I saw the checks. I had players joke directly with me about making more money in an hour a week “working” at Star (shooting free throws with employees on a hoop at Star) than I was making working 40 hours a week at the time while balancing classes. So because it was a check with hundreds of dollars each week from a legit company instead of bundles of cash (OJ Mayo) that makes it ok? That’s not a gray area or a misunderstanding…..that’s a system.

The claim that coaches were unaware is just as flimsy. Either there was a lack of control over the program, or they knew. And just because the NCAA didn’t rule that coaches knew doesn’t mean they didn’t especially given how open it was.

At the end of the day, this isn’t about me being “sour.” It’s about consistency. Calling McKay/Broussard/New Mexico “blatant cheaters” while dismissing Bradley’s improprieties as accidental or insignificant is the very definition of hypocrisy.

The only differences I see between then and now is that the kids are getting legally paid and the only job they work at is on the team.

They are the last Valley team standing like we were last season. They win at Wake Forrest we won at George Mason not easily done.
They also figured out how to keep this best players for 3 seasons and possibly 4 for a few. UNI was able to do the same as far as keep their star players. Whatever they are doing to be able to secure their players works,. UNI I doubt does it with money.

And their maturity showed in the final minutes. Kinziger, Wolf, and Pence all hit big shots, and Kinziger's free throws iced it.

Exactly, building your team from the ground floor adds continuity as these guys no what each one can do and they trust in each other in where the ball should go at the end of games to give them the best chance to win.

They had a terrible incident happen there....
did anyone see there was a mass shooting at ISU this morning (just south of campus) - six people shot, two were ISU students
It happened 1/2 block off S. University St right by the Avanti's & Buffalo Wild Wings that are just south of ISU's CEFCU Arena.

Tulsa will play New Mexico in one semifinal Thursday, April 2 in Hinkle Fieldhouse in Indianapolis

The other two quarterfinal games are Wednesday, 3/24-
Illinois State at Dayton- 6 pm on ESPN2 - Dayton is a 7.5 point favorite
Nevada at Auburn- 8 pm on ESPN2 - Auburn is a 9.5 point favorite
The winners will meet in the other semifinal Thursday, April 2 in Hinkle Fieldhouse.

And Bradley won the 1964 NIT Championship beating New Mexico 86-54 with Levern Tart the MVP & Joe Strawder high scorer with 21 pts.

Well if thing couldn't get worse...well they certainly can, Ibut ISU Red looks to be advancing past where BU should have last season...and thumping the team that put the hurt on us just a week ago.
 
Dayton shot 52.1% against Bradley (25-48) and 50% from three (9-18).
So far against ISU, they are shooting 31% overall (15-49) and 5% from three (1-20).
